Reserva Natural Selva Mojada

Walvissen zien, de jungle in, waterval ontdekken en het fijne gezin.

Très proche d’Arusi , on peut arriver dans la réserve par la mer ou par la forêt en marchant. L’endroit est magique on se sent au milieu de la forêt tropicale et dans le même temps au bord de la mer. Si vous ne craignez pas l’isolement foncez, l’endroit vaut le détour. On se promène dans la forêt riche en faune (on entend plus d’animaux que l’on ne les voit)et flore sous des arbres gigantesques. Sur la plage déserte une rivière d’eau douce se jette dans l’océan et plus loin une magnifique cascade avec des petits bassins naturels pour se baigner au milieu des grands arbres. Henry et son épouse sont très aimables et pleins d’histoires savoureuses sur la région et ses habitants.

Surrounded by jungle, overlooking the sea and with its own beach, this is a truly special place - very remote and peaceful. The accommodation is simple but comfortable and clean. The family that run it are really lovely people and we felt well looked after. Terlis made us nice food and Henry took us out on his little boat to see the whales. Listening to the sounds of the jungle at night and watching the whales passing by from the balcony was a magical experience. At the moment there are only a few rooms so we were the only guests for some of our stay, which made it all the more special. It’s worth bringing more cash than you think you’ll need - there are no ATMs and they only accept cash - plus you’ll need money to pay for meals at Selva Mojada (there’s nowhere else nearby to get food) as well as any activities you do.
