Charming Eco-Homestay near Kilimanjaro International Airport

Value for money and very authentic. Easily organised and early morning transfer to the airport.

We didn’t get to experience Theresa’s cooking as we arrived late afternoon and had already had a late lunch and we left very early the next morning.

Warm welcoming arranged by Teresa and the whole staff. Close to airport they have arranged shuttle service. Large room suitable for family too, hot shower.

No complaint

Food was amazing (best food in Tanzania so far after 2 weeks), friendly people and nice room.

Wifi didn't work

Theresa and her family have been kind with us. Her daughters are super sweet and they prepared and served us dinner all together. Dinner was simple, yet really good: a veg soup, rice with beans and vegetables and finally fruit.. exactly what we were hoping for! We paid 16 US dollars for dinner for 2 people, in total.

The room we got assigned was not the one we booked, and it was actually smaller and cheaper. We were not told initially why we didn’t get the room we booked for, but when we required for explanations we were told that there were renovations works in our room and we managed to pay less (29€). The room where we slept is tiny, the mosquito net is full of holes, the bed is uncomfortable and the sheets were stained. The bathroom is very basic and we didn’t have water early in the morning. We probably had a misunderstanding with breakfast because we booked it for 6:30am knowing that our driver would have picked us up at 7, but nobody was there at that time and it was only prepared at 6:55.
