Castle in Ferrières with Pond Garden

A lot of plugs didn’t work, as well as one dishwasher and filter coffee machines.

Beautiful chateau with lovely facilities. We stayed at chateau de Ferot in January 2025 with a group of 20 people (10 adults and 10 children). Lovely rooms and good box-spring beds. Many room have private shower and sometimes toilet. Nice children's room with 6 bunk beds and another 2 single beds with drawers, so total 10 sleeping places for the children. Nice modern kitchen. And long dining table for 20 people to eat at. A wood-fired jacuzzi (but even in Januri after a hard day of heating it was warm) which the children loved. Tennis court use for real tennis tournament and don't forget the beautiful hilly landscape. Went for a 1.5-hour walk through beautiful forest directly from the property with children. Thomas the owner is very nice and contacted him via app and responds quickly, very nice. After booking you get a nice brochure from him with very good instructions and explanations for checking in and out. All in all, highly recommended! And in summer you can enjoy even more outside facilities like the bbq and beautiful garden.

The place is a paradise! Owner cares and very responsive if anything needed.

The photos don't do this magical place justice! Absolutely gorgeous estate and tastefully decorated rooms. No cheap Ikea furniture, everything felt to be of high quality and we were really impressed by how comfortable the beds were. Smooth check-in process with a video call where the owner told us everything we needed to know and made us feel very welcome. Thomas really went the extra mile for us and was incredibly friendly and available for all our questions which we really appreciated as a big group requiring quite some organization. Extra plus points for the well equipped kitchen, the pre-warmed (!) hot tub and the big couches. We will certainly be back and cannot recommend this place any higher!

At a few moments we ran out of hot water so we needed to spread out our showering somewhat.

Nous avons passé un excellent week-end dans ce magnifique petit château avec des amis. Le cadre était magnifique et le lieu spacieux et chaleureux. Les hôtes étaient facilement joignables.

J’aurais apprécié plus de luminosité à l’entrée ou sur le chemin qui mène au château mais heureusement le propriétaire était facilement joignable pour que nous puissions nous y retrouver.

Die Unterkunft bietet ausreichend Platz. Die Mischung aus Alt und Modern ist gerade in den Etagen 1 und 2 sehr gut gelungen. Die Zimmer waren sehr schön eingerichtet. Die Schlüsselübergabe und weitere Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter funktionierte problemlos. Die Außenanlage ist riesig und sehr gepflegt. Wir würden die Unterkunft jedem weiterempfehlen.

Leider hat uns die Sauberkeit in der Küche nicht gefallen. Eine Spülmaschine ist defekt und gammelt vor sich hin. Der gesamte Backofen war ohne ihn vorher komplett zu reinigen nicht zu nutzen. Auch einer der beiden Kühlschränke war etwas verschmutzt. Hier würde die ein oder andere kleine Reparatur schon vieles verbessern.
