AMAYA HOME - Lodge, Spa & Restaurant Sóc Sơn

We loved our stay at AMAYA Home. We chose it for a relaxing afternoon and evening ahead of an early flight back to the UK and we definitely made the right decision. The staff (in particular Dylan, Duke and Alex) were so friendly and helpful, the complex was just like the pictures and we were so thankful to have somewhere peaceful as opposed to the hustle and bustle of Hanoi. The team also went out of their way to accommodate a birthday in our trip which made the stay especially memorable, and prepared a takeaway breakfast due to our early departure. A really nice touch. The massages were also a great way to end our holiday. Our only regret was that we couldn’t stay longer!

The only minor thing to mention was that there weren’t enough available sunbeds around the pool to accommodate the four of us. Not the end of the world though!

Everything. From the most kindly and hospital staff from the reception to the bar or restaurant, to the facilities, and the whole experience.

A perfect little haven away from Hanoi! Just 15 minutes from the airport, AMAYA Home was the perfect place to unwind. Everything was truly wonderful, from the beautiful setting to the incredible staff. The attention to detail was exceptional, and every little touch made our stay feel extra special. Couldn’t recommend it enough! ❤️

The grounds are pretty to sit in and look at. The staff were friendly.

So please see google review where I will try to upload them there. -Water in shower and sink both pulsate and shoot water back and forth (video) changing from hot to cold temperature on its own (my partner burned themselves) -Bathroom started to smell of sewerage from the shower drain. Needed the windows open at all times in bathroom to rid smell. -Shower windows directly look into another guests room and balcony (photo) other guests could easily watch us shower. -No sealed bottles of complimentary water -Expensive overpriced poor tasting western food (overcooked dry duck, bland chicken, small steak, basic) -House keeping is not done at all. No daily cleaning or fresh linen. Only by request which I have never had to do at any other hotel. -Bath on balcony of king room was very dirty. Had to clean it ourselves 2 times before use. It only fills 3 inch’s of the way till hot water runs out (photo) Cannot be used as a bath since you can only sit in a few inch’s of water. Useless bath unless you want a completely cold bath, then you might as well go in the green pool. -Buffet breakfast is very small. There was ants on the baked goods (video) every day I would pick off ants from my muffin or croissant. -Internet connection really bad and never worked (video) -Aircon makes constant loud sounds even on lowest setting (video) -stained towels -Used/dirty sandals, not newly sealed like other hotels -Dirty bathroom mat -Uncomfortable beds, hard and squeaky -Lumpy and hard pillows -Half user toilet paper roll, not fresh one upon arrival
