Nice garden, quiet location. kitchen diner good for socialising. neighbours were nice

Loved the location but as it was on the hill it was a little difficult for some members of our party.

Cleanliness - utensils not fully clean e.g. potato masher. Upstairs bathroom bin not empty on arrival. Obvious cobwebs. Lightbulb in kitchen flashing and no lightbulb in the overhead light in the lounge. Overall temperature in the property not suitable for an 80+ year old and not very easy to regulate.

The house and garden are beautiful. So bright and comfortable. Kitchen had everything you needed to cook and bake which was great as the weather was very wet. Location was perfect. 2 mins from the house you have Jedburgh Castle & Jail and you are just a short stroll to the Abbey, Mary Queen of Scots House, shops, cafes and restaurants. Having a downstairs bedroom and bathroom was perfect as one of our party had mobility difficulties. The sitting room was very comfortable and the open plan kitchen, diner, seating area is so bright even on the wettest day with wonderful views of the garden. Plenty of storage space as well.

We spent a very cold first night as the heating didn’t come on and we had no instructions on how to use the heating system. Didn’t think about the checking the boiler until the next day and found the heating had been switched off. Couldn’t locate any information about the house or the location so it would have been helpful to have had some kind of instruction/guide book on how to switch the heating on and use appliances. The town is small enough that we were able to find our way about.

The property had a lovely garden and the conservatory/kitchen was very nice and really bright. The house is spacious and very comfortable.

We were very comfortable in the house and have very few points that could be improved. We hadn’t appreciated that Castlebrae was on a fairly steep hill, and my friend, who is older, struggled with that a bit. However it was easy to park outside the property so we managed fine. I did have a bit of difficulty with the key lock box when we were leaving but I eventually managed and very minor! - a better quality corkscrew would be good!

Location in Jedburgh was ideal and for the purpose of visiting other towns and villages in the Borders.

The property was relaxing, had everything we needed. It was a time to relax with my extended family and we also had great nights sleep

We loved the extended eating area and the comfy sitting room. We chilled out, ate loads. The location was great and near everything. The welcome pack useful as we ordered from the Indian takeaway suggested.

Location was perfect, just of the town centre. The house had everything you could possibly need and a welcome hamper with milk, bread, spread and a few goodies was a nice surprise.

Had no fault with the house.
