Locarno Studios by Quokka 360 - in the centre of Locarno

The location is just perfect and the apartment is very functional. Despite being on the road it is well isolated and we were not bothered at all by the traffic. We didn't use the kitchen but it looked brand new. The Nespresso coffee machine with four capsules was a welcome gesture.

It looks as if the shower door doesn't seal perfectly for there's always a bit of water leaking out when you take a shower. Nothing major, but it would be good for Quokka to have a look at it.

Put a bottle of water in the fridge for this prize - not needing to take out the garbage when you already have luggage

I like the location. The apartment is nice, clean. It has everything you need.

I missed a micro-oven to hit up a cup of tea or whatever.

Location, cleanliness

No air con in the apartment (this was stated before checkin). However when I sent a message that the heat in the apartment is unbearable there was no further communication from the host to provide fans. The street outside of the apartment is extremely noisy. So with balcony door closed the heat was too much, with door open it was too loud.

Bed was uncomfortable If you want to cook food, make sure to wash everything beforehand, because our stuff was very dirty when we arrived.

The location is great. The town center, train and bus facilities, and supermarkets are all on walking distance. Also, quokka360 helpdesk is quite responsive and helpful, especially through Whatsapp. I had a nice stay, but that was mostly due to the amazing surroundings, and the fact I used the appartment as a base for daytrips in the region. I am a photographer and I really enjoyed the special light conditions during winter time along the Lago Maggiore region.

The room is cramped, and the couch is uncomfortable to sit on for a longer period. There are only 2 fluorecent light tubes at the ceiling for lighting, which is very unattractive. No light near or by the bed, also no small table or cabinet by the bed. All and all it's based on the most minimalistic (Ikea plastic) and cheap wood. The only lights in the room are 2 large fluorecent light tubes, the kind you find in an office. Not for creating a nice atmosphere while on holiday. Since I stayed during Christmas I went out and bought some atmospheric lighting myself so I did not have to use the light tubes.... There also are no proper instructions on how to use the oven, the heating, etc. Google was helpful fortunately but it is really bad there are no instructions in the room itself. The bed is OK, but a heavy lift for smaller persons. The kitchenette looks nice on the pictures, but there is a great lack of utensils to be able to use it properly. And what is available is often the same cheap plastic like the rest. I actually bought some additional stuff myself..... I stayed for 2 weeks in december, but even for that period I had to pay an extra to get fresh sheets on my bed or new towels (after a week!). This should be included in the price when someone stays that long ! Also, for the extra price you can easily go out and buy new ones yourself...... I booked the Blue studio but had a chance to see the Yellow studio as well. Be careful what you book, and check the Quokka360 website for more details. The info on booking.com is insufficient. Yellow studio for instance is even more cramped and has a "nice" view over the cemetary Long story short, a lot of issues I read in the other comments I recognize and are today (December 22/ January 23) still not resolved. Conclusion: Probably OK in summer for people doing a tour and/or stay just for 1-3 nights. Not recommended for a longer stay or a holiday, and max. 2 persons (actually 1,5)
