Casa Alba

-Excellent outdoor space with many different areas to relax in. We were a large group but never felt like we were on lacking on space. -Large fridge in the kitchen which was important for a big group. -The pool was an excellent temperature and you could stay in it for a long period and not get cold. -The AC was very welcome and great for coming in from a hot day. - Lots of kitchen utensils and cutlery, glasses etc. - 10 minutes walk to the beach but it is on a large hill so it would not be accessible for people who have limited mobility without a car.

-One toilet roll was put in each bathroom for our stay of 7 nights for 7 people. I messaged the owner and asked for more and was told they did not provide consumables, just enough for arrival, which is fair enough but for the money that was paid I would have expected more toilet roll to be provided. -In the main bedroom the curtains were not very good and the room is so light from 7am onwards. This made it difficult to sleep late. -The WiFi was poor in some areas, for a villa of the size and different rooms I would have expected better quality internet. -A lot of onus was put on us to clean a lot before we checked out. I completely understand why but when there is a big list of, clean the oven and BBQ, empty all the bins and strip the bedding it did seem like a lot. -Some of the outdoor furniture was a bit tired and one of the sun loungers had a hole in it. -Check in is not until 4pm but check out is 10am. The owner did offer early check in if needed.

We really appreciated the 2 hour later checkout and communication with the owner was prompt and informative. The outdoor area was the best part of the apartment. It is very spacious with lots of areas for sun and shade and a lovely view to the beach We spent most of our time there. The pool, for our exclusive use, was large and well used by the kids with lots of toys for play. The apartment is large and well laid out. Well equipped kitchen with great fridge/freezer and lots of assorted crockery and glasses. Nice cafe/bar just up the road.

The furniture and fittings are rather tired but we spent most of our time outside on the terraces. The door of the small terrace double bedroom was very difficult to open/close. The bathroom door in the master bedroom didn't close fully. We would have appreciated some modern ovenproof dishes. There was also no oven gloves. I hadn't noticed, until after booking, that the top section of the villa was a separate apartment, with its own access, used by the owner and family.

Nos fuimos de viaje con amigos el fin de semana anterior a nuestra boda y el alojamiento hizo que la estancia fuera aún más especial de lo que imaginamos. El acceso a la vivienda fue muy sencillo, la limpieza y las instalaciones fueron excepcionales, las vistas a la playa impresionantes... Agradecemos todos los regalos que nos encontramos al llegar: botellas de vino, productos típicos españoles y una postal del dueño, ¡todo un detalle! Gracias también por habernos dejado hacer el check-out un par de horas más tarde.

Todo nos encantó. Solo puedo decir que quizás el camino a la playa se puede hacer pesado para gente más mayor. Recomendaría coger un taxi para ir al centro de Nerja.

Beautifully decorated, really traditionally Spanish but with a modern twist. So much room for our large group of 7.

Comforters were slightly marked when we arrived, so we chose not to use them when we slept.
