Beautiful house in the city centre of Mazamet. Many shops around. The host was very hospitable.

Wifi coverage could be improved with adequate repeaters.

Très belle chambre spacieuse et lumineuse avec une vue donnant sur un grand jardin. Lit confortable. Salle de bains énorme. Hôte Christian très gentil.

Host was helpful and quick to provide services eg laundry, extra TP etc. I arrived a bit early by train, but I contacted Christian the day before, and we arranged an earlier check-in that worked for both of us. Christian is very generous and kind, surpising this visitor with a welcome croissant and a musical concert with his many stringed instruments. If you love Willie Nelson, Neil Young, Bob Dylan et al, you have arrived at Maison d'Alba. Room was large, facilities worked. It's a charming, old Maison/Hotel. If you are happy with esssentials and not looking for luxe, then this is the place.

I am used to simple rooms on Caminos, but I was surprised to have to dust the bed head-board and side tables. That was my only negative surprise. It was probably an unusual oversight.
