Rock Pool House

The beds were very comfortable. The overall standard of the fit out is very pleasant. The kitchen was well equipped. The welcome box was nice, with dishwasher tablets and washing up cloths. Overall the apartment was clean, though there were several moths in the bathroom and some in the bedding.

There was a small carton of milk in the fridge with a use by date of a week before we arrived. There were shrivelled grapes in a bowl on the windowsill. The dishwasher had cutlery left in it. The entrance porch stinks of mould or damp. We were unable to find a bread knife. The main bedroom (super king) window does not open. The wooden floors creak loudly when you walk across them, which was an issue waking people up in the morning. The complimentary box had only one coffee bag, rather than two. The people downstairs were very loud with doors slammed at midnight on the Thursday causing the super king bed to actually shake. The road is noisy, with people often parking outside to collect take aways from the downstairs Chinese. The parking was very awkward to get in and out of.

Location was brilliant.

It was spacious, fully equipped and near to the town.

The entrance was next to the back of the Chinese takeaway which was off putting when we arrived but it was a clean tidy area.

Fantastic location. Really well appointed apartment with everything we needed. Great decor and plenty spacious enough for 2 adults, 2 teens and a border collie. The eco welcome pack was a nice touch. Loved being just seconds away from the harbour with all of its pubs, cafes and restaurants.

Getting out of the car port was challenging, even in our small car. It didn’t bother us, but if you are particularly sensitive to noise or smell it’s worth mentioning there is a Chinese restaurant downstairs, which has fairly loud extraction.
