The outdoor space is definitely the outstanding feature of this property - the pool is situated on an elevated level to the house, where the view of the surrounding area is magnificent. There is a really lovely shaded comfortable seating area on the same level to relax and read. Down some steps there is a great barbecue area, again shaded with seating and tables. If you are looking for peace and quiet to relax and unwind this is the place! It is really peaceful, quiet and private. And Jose Antonio is really lovely, very helpful and loved to talk about his avocados and mangos he is growing on the hills next to the property; he also left us some wine, juice, biscuits, bread, pate and snacks as a welcome gift, and met us in the village to show us to the property, and was available to message with any questions via Whatsapp if needed during our stay. (And the TV has lots of English channels for evening viewing). There are anti-fly strips on the front and back doors so you can get airflow without the insects, and insect-proof wire mesh on the windows too. (Just don't leave ANY crumbs around on surfaces or ants will arrive, inevitable in the heat; we made sure to clean down surfaces well every time we used them so no problems).

The interior of the property is nice and clean, fairly basic. but well enough equipped. There is only one air conditioning unit situated upstairs in between the two bedrooms, which isn't really adequate to cool down the air in the bedrooms, and downstairs does feel a bit hot in the day/evening. The sloping ceilings in the bedrooms are going to invite a banged head at some point or another - we chose the bedroom with the double bed as the slope was higher at the top of the bed so less chance of banging head when you just wake up and jump out of bed; bed itself was comfy but a very small double bed. The only other downside for me was the drive from Frigliana town to get to the house; the first time we went there following Jose up and down very narrow and windy roads for about 15 minutes, I thought 'we will never find our way back here if we want to go back down to the town!' - it takes 2 or 3 drives to get to know which turns to take, we took a couple of wrong turns once or twice and had to reverse up a narrow steep track to get back on the right track, but by the end of the week we knew the road, but I still didn't feel that I wanted to risk going into Frigliana at night and trying to find our way back in the dark, which was a shame as I did want to see Frigliana lit up at night, it's supposed to be beautiful. But in fairness apparently any property like this with a decent private pool will inevitably not be close to the town but further outside up in the surrounding hills, so expect a tricky drive if renting anything outside of the town itself.

Alles! Ein sehr schönes Haus, ein super netter Vermieter, alles top sauber und toll ausgestattet! Es ist alles da. Ein Wahnsinns Ausblick, ein Riesen Pool mit tollen Liegen. Wir sind spät Abends angekommen und der Vermieter hatte uns viele Lebensmittel hingestellt! Frisches Obst, Schokolade und eine Flasche Wein zur Begrüßung. Ein toller Empfang! Die Bettwäsche und sogar die Wolldecken haben nach frisch gewaschener Wäsche gerochen! Top! So etwas habe ich selten erlebt! Hier muss man Urlaub machen!

Fue un placer tratar con Jose Antonio y estar en su casa. La casa tiene todas las comodidades para pasar unos días de plena desconexión. La temperatura en pleno agosto varió entre 29 y 31 grados (mientras había una ola de calor en el resto de España). Esa temperatura es ideal para poder disfrutar de la piscina, aunque para dormir sí que era necesario poner un poco el aire acondicionado. Tiene una zona de barbacoa ideal, las camas son cómodas y el salón es relativamente fresco y te permite estar bien simplemente abriendo las ventanas y sin necesidad de aire acondicionado. La casa está lo suficientemente apartada de otras casas para tener casi total intimidad. Es de destacar el kit de aperitivo que nos preparó Jose Antonio y su familia, que va mucho más allá de lo que te puedes encontrar en otros alojamientos. Hemos pasado unos días fabulosos.

Sin duda, lo peor de la casa es el camino que hay que transitar para llegar a ella. Es un camino que discurre por una especie de urbanización, sin asfaltar y en el que hay tramos en el que no caben dos coches a la vez. El problema del camino no es que esté en mal estado, sinó la propia estrechez del mismo, ya que hay zonas en las que es complicado maniobrar si te encuentras otro coche de frente. Por otro lado, te tienes que acostumbrar que las habitaciones tienen un techo inclinado y alguna vez te vas a dar un coscorrón.
