Quaint Riverside Reprieve w/ Kayaks + Floats!

Margo was super helpful, sweet & friendly. Her security gate malfunctioned when we arrived. She was "johnny-on-the-spot" to get us through. What a quaint setting! Loved the river, it is nice to wonder along the shore. (It was low on our visit) Access is not for mobility impaired. She is dog friendly! Murphy & Chicka are great hosts.

If there HAS to be one thing. I'd say the distance from town. But that is perfect for us, looking for quiet w/o people & noise.

The scenery was beautiful!

We all enjoyed the ease of access to the river and the beautiful views. It's a perfect spot to kayak, to which the hosts happily supply. Lovely animals on the property. We felt very comfortable.

The only downfall is the distance it takes to go in and out of town for activities. If you simply want to get a coffee or breakfast out first thing in the morning, you have to drive 15 minutes down a windy road. So, trips out were planned strategically.

The rental had a full kitchen. Bedroom. Hot water in the shower. The rental had sporadic wi-fi. Nice redwood tree outside.

The photos of the rental were a bit deceptive. There is a steep path with uneven concrete stairs to get down to the river. The photos made it look like the property was right on the river. It seemed like the rental was stocked and furnished with hand-me-downs, instead of care taken that the renters would have a nice place to stay. For example, only one side of the bed had a reading light. Kitchen had greasy pans put away. We felt the owners were really just interested in the income their place generated instead of offering nice value for the pricey fee they charge. I would not recommend.
