Kokkala Guestrooms

Kokkala, a small traditional Greek village on the east coast of the Mani Peninsula, pleasantly surprised us. Guestrooms kept by Voula were easy to find along the main road of the village. There was also a place for the car across the street. The room was small but clean. Balcony was small too but safe. The shower worked flawlessly but the bathroom was a bit impractical. The bed was good and the room was sensibly decorated. The soundproofing was a bit weak, but it was peaceful in September, so less noice. The tavern called Polytimi in the village was very good. There we enjoyed excellent traditional Greek food several times. Thank you in particular for the scordalia. Nostima! Both beaches near the village were rocky but the waters were very clear. Especially paralia Marathos was beautiful.

The bathroom was renovated but impractical. The water splashed everywhere from the shower, making it difficult to use the bathroom otherwise.

We spent a week in Kokkala and had a great time. The room was very clean and comfortable. You can easily reach a lot of beatiful beaches and good restaurants from the Guesthouse and there is also a nice beach within Kokkala. The surroundings are very quiet so we could sleep well. Finally the host was really kind with us, she gave a lot of advices and fresh fruit every evening. We hope to come back soon!

Great place, location, town, host... We are really sorry we couldn't stay for the breakfast they offered. stayed two days and were very happy with the place short walk from a great Taverna, the beach and harbor and a wonderful bakery!!!

it's just a little thing... there was no place to hang the shower head. It's something we noticed in other places. ask them if they fixed it.
