In La Maison de Remparts we had the experience of a local house that was well located and a spacious alternative for fri

It was spacious, had comfortable lounges, the kitchen had all the equipment you would need and it was warm. Location was close to everything but far enough away to be quiet.

An update on the information book to reflect what happens in 2025 would help those new to France. And maybe a spare toilet roll and hand soap and a hand towel would be thoughtful for travellers.

A memorable stay!

Excellent communication with Brigitte prior to and during the stay. The house is quite charming and really felt like a home from home. The layout was great with two bathrooms on different levels. We loved sitting in the courtyard after making full use of the kitchen facilities preparing meals. Thank you for a blissful stay!

This house has the appearance of not just being a rental but somebodies beloved holiday home - full of little extra touches that made our stay so enjoyable. Spacious and well equipped there was nothing that we needed that was not there. The lady who met us with the keys was helpful and friendly. The location is perfect for exploring Loches on foot - only a few minutes walk from the historic Cité Royale and the old town with all of its shops and restaurants.

A stunning house in an enviable location.

A stunning house in an enviable location. This is a perfectly appointed three storey house snug against the castle cliff. The four bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, the bathrooms are beautiful and the showers powerful and hot. the downstairs kitchen and seating areas indoors and out are well thought out and well equipped. Stairs require good mobility. The centre of town is only a five minute walk away and there is a handy free car park on the way. Warm welcome from Brigitte, and overall an excellent place to stay,

Maison spacieuse, sur 3 étages , avec vieil escalier en colimaçon. À 6 minutes du centre historique à pied . Stationnement dans la rue

Nécessité de faire un nettoyage avant notre installation : réfrigérateur givré avec melon « pourri ». Poussière dans le dressing ++( photo du Tshirt tombé au pied du dressing) Pas de protège matelas Sol poussiéreux , sale ( ne pas marcher en chaussette) Cours intérieure sale , nettoyée au jet d’eau avant utilisation Housses de couette non mises, laissées sur le lit car canicule ( couette lavée entre chaque client ?): proposition de mettre un drap et la housse de couette, mais pas de drap Linge de toilette : 1 drap de bain, pas de serviette invité ni à main , minimaliste Le livret explicatif du gîte plus à jour , niveau de prestation nettement en dessous de l’annoncé sur le livret … Décevant

Évitez

Juste le service de pouvoir dormir en groupe avec une table pour manger. Nous n’avons rien utilisé de particulier à part les salles de bain et dormir.

1. Le logement est proposé pour six personnes avec la possibilité d’ajouter un lit auxiliaire ce que j’ai demandé. Au départ, le propriétaire a récupéré un matelas en haut pour le mettre en bas. Ce qui est donc n’importe aucune solution pour un couchage supplémentaire. Il est donc repassé… mais on a ressenti un certain agacement sur une demande légitime 2. Le logement est clairement sale. Les draps avec des résidus, des cheveux. Le calcaire dans les douches. Les brosses pour les WC marron, l’intérieur du four complètement sale, et le sol n’en parlons pas. 3. On nous apporte imposer des horaires strictes à respecter. Arrivée forcément après 16 heures et départ 10 heures, impératif sans aucune négociation possible, puisqu’il faut apparemment le temps de nettoyer… on nous attend sur le palier, des bras croisés. La dernière personne n’a même pas le temps de quitter le salon qu’ils sont rentrés dans le logement…
