Grosmont Cottage, Ruswarp

Comfy beds, cosy and clean. Plenty of parking space and peaceful.

The only downside was the steep and rather rough track up to the complex of cottages.

Fabulous location. Had beautiful views from the garden but also only a 30 minute walk to Whitby or a 10 minute walk to Sleight village. Everything you needed to cook etc and ample parking onsite (we came in three different cars). We contacted the agents a few times before and during our stay to organise things for our friend's birthday. Received fast response every time. Very friendly and helpful!

Cleaning could have been a little more thorough but nothing that could spoil your stay

Quiet location. Close to Whitby Robin Hoods Bay and Sneaton castle where we had a wedding Clean comfortable bed. Welcome box of goodies plus tea coffee sugar most appreciated.

Lovely location and a well appointed, comfortable cottage. We appreciated the snacks on arrival and a real bonus was the barn owl hunting right outside the window. Would certainly consider staying here again.

On arrival there was an overpowering smell of cigarette smoke throughout the property but especially strong in the kitchen area which we only just managed to air out by the time we left. For a non smoking accommodation this was extremely disappointing. There was also an awful repetitive noise which we eventually tracked down to what we think is an electronic rodent deterrent unit, once rebooted this stopped. We also had difficulty keeping the cottage at a consistent temperature. A smaller constructive point, the kitchen is fairly well equipped but a set of steak knives would be useful, the knives in the cutlery set barely cut anything.
