Our stay was absolutely amazing. The property is very nice and clean, and the staff was super welcoming and attentive. We felt like home and we felt like we could finally rest a little bit after very stressful travels. Thank you for accommodating us. Importantly, the breakfast and dinner we highly recommend, the area is calm, good mattress, hot shower every time. Great communication with the property owner! Highly appreciated

The road to get there is a little bumpy, but the property owner informs you before you confirm your booking, so I think that’s more than fair.

We had a very enjoyable and peaceful two-day stay at Home Villa before leaving for our safari. The villa is in the middle of a village, which makes it very quiet and relaxing, though it is quite far from the city. Our room was comfortable. The washroom had a unique stone floor and jungle feel, which was a new experience that we really liked. Hillary, the owner, was extremely helpful and made our stay easy. He helped us book a ride for the city tour, and when the driver didn't show up, he was kind enough to drive us himself. He quickly fixed any small problem we had. His advice for our Maasai market visit was very useful, and it was really nice to have detailed conversations with him about multiple topics, especially local culture, politics, and his experience with safari travels. Hillary’s staff, Sophia and Irene, were very nice and welcoming. They are learning English well, but there is a slight language barrier. Sophia cooked really good food and took care of everything we requested. It's important to mention that Hillary went out of his way to arrange halal chicken for us, showing he respected our dietary preferences. It was nice to have a local mosque nearby; I enjoyed walking there for the evening prayers and meeting the local children. Just remember to carry a flashlight after dark, as there are no street lights. We can’t finish this review without mentioning Topu, the resident kitten. We loved spending time with her, and we genuinely missed her after we left—my partner and I still talk about her! Overall, this stay felt very much like being at home. We wish Hillary all the best for his future.

Location is a bit far, and you'd need to get in touch with Hillary to find your way. Don't trust the google maps when you're close to the property.

1. Location terrible way out of town in a terrible run down area with the worst roads 2. There were no hand towels - & when I asked the receptionist wanted to give me only 1, finally brought 2, because I told him that we both would like a towel each for ourselves
