Amazing holiday. Beautiful surroundings and wonderful hosts.

Beautiful property. Very welcoming and the facilities were wonderful. Loved the swim pond and hot tub. Everything you need for a cosy stay and to explore beautiful Wales. Hosts were brilliant and very helpful. Lots of information available. Will definitely recommend and come back in the future.

Fab accommodation definitely a hidden gem 😊

We really enjoyed our stay. Lovely place so peaceful and our accommodation had stunning views. Grounds are kept amazingly clean and tidy. Nothing was to much trouble when we had questions to ask the staff .we stayed in the coal house kitchen was very well equipped and very spacious. Bedrooms were fab very clean with comfy beds. Thank you.

It was very warm but once we managed to adjust the heating it cooled down instantly. I got to stay on the pull out bed which wernt comfy but that's to be expected with pull out beds.Easily issues to be resolved.

Perfect and peaceful family break.

The surroundings are beautiful, and having unlimited access to the natural swimming pool was perfect. The cottage itself is lovely and spacious with a homey feel. Equipped with everything you need to have a lovely family break. The welsh cakes and tray of tea and coffee made for a very warm welcome. With the cottage being dog friendly, our little puppy Kiwi was able to enjoy this with us as well, a good enclosed space for her in the garden too! The whole place has a very calming nature and therefore encourages a peaceful stay, we felt we had the whole place to ourselves. Taking this into consideration, to have that at the busiest time of year makes Tanylan Farm one of the best summer holiday breaks we have had in a very long time! So much so that we booked for another 2 weeks next year, before we had even checked out!

The only 2 things: We felt the sofa in front of the window in the coal house to be very uncomfortable and there fore we avoided. The garden furniture is the same. But we did use these with a few blankets and towels when enjoying the lovely firepit in the evenings. Other cottages seem to have wooden sets, whereas ours had plastic rattan. I didn't bring this to anyone's attention as I did not feel there was any urgency to the problem, nor did I think it would be replaced on our stay.

Very impressed

What an amazing place. Everything you needed, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, foil the lot, very impressed. Beautiful accommodation and clean and tidy, will definitely stay again. Lovely walks for the dog and fence of area in the garden. Board games in the cupboard. Welcome welsh cakes and milk.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Only issue we had was with the wifi had 2 full days without it and was on and off on our stay . Didnt help we had no phone signal aswel other than that was a nice break away

THE KING SIZE BED REALLY NEEDS REPLACING. IT WAS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE - VERY BOUNCY AND OLD FASHIONED. A MORE MODERN TOPPER STYLE WOULD BE A GOOD OPTION

A home away from home.

The Coal house is a very spacious, clean cottage, which has been super thought out, and is very comfortable. On arrival there were Welsh cakes laid out for us, and a jug of milk in the fridge - very nice little touches. The kitchen was perfect, it had everything you could think of and we were pleased to find a freezer, as I don’t think this is mentioned in the description. We had a problem with the hot water on our first night, but after phoning the owner, the problem was resolved very quickly. The under floor heating downstairs was glorious, although at times the cottage was so warm it was almost uncomfortable. Both bedrooms have en-suites - again I’m not sure if this is mentioned in the description, and wowee the shower! It was so powerful, I didn’t want to get out! The bed was very comfy, and the bedroom had plenty of cupboards and wardrobe space. We had great use out of the hot tub. The location is nice, it was very peaceful when we went. However there are several holiday parks in walking distance, so in the warmer months I could imagine the roads and lanes being a bit busier.

The first time we opened the hot tub we noticed some sand laying at the bottom. We were quite shocked to see this as the owners request that users shower before use. We used the hot tub in the rain, and would recommend somewhere to store towels so that they remain dry whilst you’re in the tub. There’s a parasol provided, however during our stay it was too windy to use, so by the time we were ready to get out our towels (that were sat on one of the outside tables) were cold and wet. Another recommendation we would make is a light right by the hot tub, to make getting in and out safer and easier - instead of struggling in the dark. Also we mentioned one night whilst in the tub that a higher fence would add more privacy - as the path linking up the other holiday cottages runs pretty close to the tub and people could certainly look through the fence and see you. Overall we were super impressed with the cottage, but felt the hot tub could do with some slight improvements.
