Town House Rosario

The host Rose was absolutely brilliant. Never had a better experience in terms of how the host took care of us with recommendation, clear directions and helped us shaping our holiday according to our needs. This attention to details is such a rarity to find. The place was very nice and clean, and the position just outside the old town was amazing. Can’t recommend this place enough. Rose thank you again!

There was nothing I didn’t like

Beautifully restored stone house nestled in the narrow lanes of Stari Grad. The facilities are nicely updated and the bed is comfortable. The proprietor is kind and helpful.

This is the most beautiful home! I couldn’t fault a single thing. It’s so tranquil, there is something about all of the stone and it smells delicious. Check in and check was also super easy and Rosa was so easy to communicate with over WhatsApp

Wonderful fragrance and beautiful interiors of the building. Room was small but cosy. Conveniently located in Stari Grad, close to the bus station. Friendly and welcoming host.

Small rooms but goes with the old house vibe

The townhouse Rosario is located right next to bus station and very easy to reach. Its constructed well and decorated nicely. Rose was great when she met us when we reached there. If you have accessibility issues pls ensure you message them to check as there is no elevator. The rooms have basic stuff and thats it. The acoustics were not great, if the downstairs room closed their door, flushed we could hear it and that's not great late at night. The ice machine has mould growing. There is a catalogue with lots of recommendations and dos and don'ts but if one messaged them for a question, you'd be told to see the catalogue.... So much for service. Answering the question could've gone a long way in showing courtesy. The area is amazing and safe.

Nicely converted and decorated. Quiet. Very easy access to the harbour area.

Insufficient amenities in bedrooms eg no glasses or drawers for clothing. We were told off for taking the glasses in the small kitchen space to our bedrooms - we needed drinking water at night so this seemed a little harsh. The apartment had so much more space and facilities compared to the 3 other bedrooms rented by our group but there was a small price differential so I would definitely suggest booking the upstairs apartment if this is an option. We occupied 4 out of the 5 available rooms but it was made clear by the owner that we made the rotating extra room guests feel uncomfortable by taking over the house and apparently treating it as our own so I would suggest only rent all rooms if you are in a group. We paid good money to occupy 4 rooms so this criticism left a bitter taste in our mouths in truth. What are we supposed to do … ignore each other when we had booked to go on holiday together? It’s a nice house but on the edge of town and next to a car park so not in a beautiful location albeit it suited the needs of our group. There seemed to be quite a few rules and regulations so we got ticked off each morning by the owner for a range of things but we weren’t a rowdy group. We were just a bunch of old friends celebrating a 60th birthday. Goodness knows what would have happened if a bunch of youngsters had turned up! It we still had a lovely time and I hope the host will read this and view it as constructive criticism. It’s a hybrid between a house and a hotel but a place where people do need to feel that they can be at home. We did feel on edge quite a lot of the time when we were at the house as a group as sound did travel. Not our fault!

A beautiful guest house in a lovely town. It had the feel and smell of a spa (plus treatments if you wanted, for a fee). A lovely little courtyard to sit in too. Stari Grad itself, is a very pretty little town and less touristy than Hvar town, quieter and more laid back. Would definitely recommend!

We liked the atmosphere of the place, it's really pleasant and chill. The host, Rose, was really kind and had clear instructions upon arrival. The decoration of the place is really nice.

The slippers were super thin that we didn't manage to wear them.

The guest house is a 300BC property that has been recently renovated. We had room 4 which was spacious, on the first floor. Walk-in shower, fridge, safe. Downstairs in communal area there is a kettle, fridge and microwave. Tea, coffee & sugar provided. Great location to old town as you are on the edge. You can drop your bags off close by first. Free parking is a five minute walk away, they will give you a ticket to put on your dashboard.

The outdoor area is nice, but not comfortable to sit in.

Excellent quiet location 2 minute walk to harbor. We had the upper floor apartment which we highly recommend for more space and light. Beautiful bathroom and comfortable bed. Unit was spotlessly clean.As wine drinkers, we sat in quaint entry courtyard at night before dinner and enjoyed being outside to enjoy pleasant temps. We took car ferry from Split so appreciated that Town House Rosario had free parking available.

Would have been nice if unit offered Nespresso coffee machine and maybe a few welcome items like fruit.

The property is a unique beautifully presented stone house . From the moment we stepped into the courtyard we fell in love with it . The rooms a tastefully furnished to a high spec . The owners have thought of everything to make you feel at home . There is a little kitchen on the ground floor to make tea coffee breakfast etc . The owner went above and beyond for us

Charming and quaint property, centrally located without being too busy. Host was pleasant and accommodating. Would happily stay again, definitely making time for their spa!

Room was a little small, which is to be expected in an old city, but fit both of us comfortably.

Great place to stay. All just perfect. Friendly manager.

Overall atmosphere was very nice. Very flexible check in times and uncomplicated process. Welcoming fruits was a nice gesture. Very clean. Slippers were available which is in my opinion a big plus.

Water drain of the bathroom sink was a bit slow. Towels had a awkward smell.

the location in stari grad was perfect...close enough to the center of town and great proximity to the bus stop and big/small groceries store conveniences. the accommodations were nicely appointed and the host was very warm and responsive.

once again in croatia we encountered stairs, which is daunting when you have luggage for 2 weeks. one big bag to navigate up 2 flights of stairs, but our host was ready to help with the heaving! we did it, toghether!

Charming, modern fit-out, had Netflix. Everything just minutes away by foot. Part of the old town but right on the edge, so free parking is available around the corner - very handy, given we had a rental car. Rose was very helpful. Communal kitchen downstairs has an ice-maker and tea and coffee.

Rose was so kind and helpful, recommended us where to go for nice beaches and restaurants. Her townhouse Rosario is so charming and our room was amazing and comfy! We want to go back already :)

Everything was perfect! Rose was the absolute best host - meeting us on arrival and providing lots of useful information and recommendations to ensure we had the best stay. The house and room were absolutely beautiful and it was clear that a lot of love, thought and attention had been put into everything. Wifi was excellent and really appreciated the massive TV with Netflix, fabulous air con and great bathroom. Excellent location within a short walking distance to all the attractions in Stari Grad and a 2 minute walk from the bus stop to Hvar town. Everything was perfect and would highly recommend to all!
