This property sits among 1500 acres ranging from an easy Interstate Highway I-25 access to the top of the Old Raton Pass Highway. Two bedroom (one king, one queen), one bath completely remodeled mountain farmhouse. Full kitchen with new appliances, washer/dryer, SmartTV and internet (WiFi & cell phone signals, of course depending on your carrier some may be better than others). 

This property features mind-blowing views of 3 states, incredible hiking among the Native American ruins, fossils, rocks, plants and minerals of the high desert. From river beds and ponds, to mini-canyons, ravines and meadows, bird caves and many more hidden corners of the earth! Make some memories here and truly "get away". Just minuets from downtown Raton and Sugarite State Park with 3 lakes, camping, hiking, fishing and gorgeous views . Tour the foundations and trails of the old Sugarite mining town ruins. Sugarite borders Colorado and allows access to another lake and hiking as well. Eighteen miles to Trinidad, 1 hour to Eagle's Nest, 1.5 hours to Taos and Red River. Two hours to Colorado Springs, 3 to Denver and Albuquerque. Excellent base-camp to explore the New Mexico and Colorado Rockies.
