Discover the charm of coastal living at 1423 N Fletcher Ave, a vacation home located in picturesque Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island. This spacious house offers a delightful ambiance, perfect for families or groups seeking a relaxing getaway by the ocean. In April 2025, this home underwent renovations, ensuring a fresh and comfortable experience.
It's still the same familiar home many of our guests have always enjoyed, but this property has definitely had a bit of a “glow up” throughout! Enjoy limited ocean views from the comfort of your living area and deck as you unwind with family and friends. The fully equipped kitchen features a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, and dishwasher, making meal preparation a breeze. Gather around the dining area for memorable meals or step outside to the gas grill for a delightful barbecue. A complete kitchen reset of small appliances, dining and upgraded cook ware allow for easy meal prep, whether a holiday meal, locally caught sea fare, or a quick bite on the go.
The property accommodates eight guests in four bedrooms. On the main floor are the primary suite with a king bed and attached full bathroom, and a cozy queen room and a third bedroom with two twins, who share the adjacent hall bathroom. Up a staircase with a whimsical rope handrail evoking the spirit of ship's rigging, is a large fourth bedroom with two twins (can be combined for a king) and an ensuite half bath, providing ample space for everyone to refresh after a day of beach adventures. All bedrooms feature closets or rails for hanging clothes, drawer space, and luggage racks for baggage and shoe storage.
The outdoor deck space is perfect for soaking up the sun or enjoying ocean views. Outside deck dining seats 12+ at two tables shaded under umbrellas, and two lounge chairs for sunbathing. Enjoy shaded and breezy hammocks and outdoor seating and an enclosed outdoor hot/cold shower in the carport area, which also provides covered parking for up to four cars. In the storage room there is a second refrigerator for overflow food, drinks or bait storage. A private Oceans 8 beach access path, a short walk north of the house leads to beach enjoyment!
For your comfort and convenience, the home is equipped with air conditioning and heating, a supplemental air conditioner upstairs, a portable fan, cable television and high-speed internet access. Safety features such as smoke detectors and a fire extinguisher ensure peace of mind during your stay.
