We had the most amazing time. We loved our luxurious quarters in the house and the amazing property. The beds were comfortable, the rooms spacious, the kitchen gorgeous, the elevator so helpful and the location incredibly beautiful. Only a tiny thing: An update to more modern cleaning utensils would be helpful: a longer broom handle and some fixture to squeeze the wet mop would be extremely helpful!

This place is beautiful. It's a large fenced property where there is no one else but the inhabitants of this facility, so you will hardly meet anyone there. It's complete relaxation in beautiful nature. The accommodation itself is great; it's clean, nice, and gives you the feeling like you have gone to a cabin.

The beauty of this place is offset by the fact that it's about 18 minutes by car from Vastervik, so you can't just step outside and be in the center; it's a bit more remote, but even the journey itself leads through beautiful nature, and if you bring bicycles here, you will be thrilled. The only - in my opinion, unnecessary - complication is that when you arrive, there are neither bed sheets nor towels in the room. When I asked the owners to provide us with towels and linens (because I didn't expect them not to be there), they wanted to charge an extra fee. Such practice seems unnecessary to me; I don't think they are doing so bad that they need to squeeze more money out of the guests and complicate their stay. If they offered breakfast instead for an additional charge, I would have spent that money for breakfasts without a word, because the local fruit or other foods must be fantastic... Despite this, however, I wholeheartedly recommend this place.

Ideal location on a beautiful estate

Wow!!! I hadn't really understood what I had booked, and I was quite blown away at how gorgeous it was... it was our last night of a 19-day Scandinavian trip, and we spent it at this stunning estate... everything was just perfect!

OK for just one night

The property is literally located in the middle of nowhere, so it is the perfect spot if you want to stay away from town and cars. The room was quite spacious and had a nice bathroom and small living room attached to it.

Although this is an OK place for just one night (we only needed a place close to Västervik to be able to catch an early ferry to Gotland), there are a few points for which I won't consider it again. Hygiene: once in the room you find out that they expect you to vacuum and mop the floor upon leaving, and clearly they don't bother doing it in case the previous guests didn't, judging by the spots on the floor. Moreover, the shower was filthy, so we wondered whether they clean the bathroom at least. With a pandemic still ongoing, this is a huge red flag. Location: if you don't have a car, forget about reaching the place, it is in a remote countryside location, and the closest grocery shop is at least 20 min drive away. Amenities: the beach described in the listing cannot really be used, as it is a field full of bird feces, quite impossible to lay a towel there. Moreover, although there is a pier nearby from which one could at least swim, it cannot be used by the guests. Property: the structure is quite old and the walls very thin, and if you are unlucky like us and end up having a very noisy family in the room upstairs, you can forget about sleeping well.

Great location to explore the Västervik area, near nature reserve and footpaths.

The location is wonderful. We didn't really explore the grounds as such, but it's very secluded and by a lake with gorgeous views. The room was very big, again, we didn't really make use of it enough because the weather was great and we literally just came to sleep. The host was very nice when we got stuck in traffic and arrived very late. The kitchen is very spacious and well equipped too.

The only thing I would wish for is blinds for the small windows by the beds so when you come in Swedish summer you can sleep a little longer than 4am.

Stunning place in the middle of nature

Stunning place with mansion and several buildings. Everything is beautifully renovated. It is very quiet. You have to bring your own bed sheets and clean up when you leave, but that is very common in Sweden.

Next supermarket is about 30 min. away, so it is better to buy your food before arriving. The kitchen is fully equipped. We missed a place where we could sit outside.

Sagolik omgivning och generösa utrymmen.

Frukost fick man ordna själv. Fint kök. Tur att det var efter högsäsongen. För huset verkar lyhörd.

Att inte det stod på bookings sida att man skulle ta med lakan etc. Å andra sidan skulle jag antagligen inte ha bokat om det hade stått att det inte är ett vanligt hotell. Man fick ju senare meddelande från boendet att ta med grejer till övernattning. Ren tur att det fanns lite toa papper, för det tänkte man inte på!!

Vi forlængede vores ophold.

Efter ankomst til dette smukke og rolige sted i storslået natur, forlængede vi straks vores ophold med yderlige to overnatninger. Vil ville gerne været blevet endnu længere, med det var desværre ikke muligt. Som par var vi super glade for at bo på værelse 1, der var som en lille lejlighed, med det fælles køkken lige uden for døren til vores lille stue. ( værelse 2 var ligesådan indrettet) Køkkenet var velfungerende med alt hvad vi havde brug for. Fælles køle/ fryseskab var der også. Det var muligt at benytte vaskemaskine, hvilket var perfekt efter mange dage på farten. Hvis man nyder fred og og ro plus fantastisk natur og omgivelser er dette stedet at tage til. Der er dejlige gåture lige uden for døren og hyggelige Vestervik ligger kun ca. 15 km derfra.

Forslag til lille forbedring kunne være nogle liggestole, man kunne benytte. Jeg synes ikke billlederne yder ikke stedet fuld retfærdighed

Jättevacker omgivning - men boendet var under vår förväntan

Huset ligger otroligt vackert och lantligt - men naturen var egentligen också det enda som vi verkligen gillade med boendet. Samt att det var rent och fräscht.

Huset är väldigt lyhört och vi hade oturen att bo där samtidigt som en trebarnsfamilj - det blev inte mycket till sovmorgon med spring i trappor och högljudda lekar. Vi hade noll kontakt med ägaren som verkade ha ett system där man hämtar nyckeln själv i en brevlåda - det funkade bra men kändes lite väl anonymt. Inredningen var lite väl sparsam. Vi saknade avhängningsytor i rummet för ytterkläder, det fanns inte ens en stol att hänga kläder över - det enda som fanns var två sängar och sängbord. Fördelen var dock att vi hade som en egen liten "flygel" med sovrum, wc och ett separat vardagsrum med soffa, tv och skrivbord. Det fanns även handdukar i rummet för den som glömt, men de var man tvungen att hyra för 150kr extra - det tyckte vi var dyrt. Köket var stort men ganska opersonligt. Det kändes inte trevligt att sitta där och äta mat. Det var rent och fräscht, men diskmaskinen skulle nog behöva bytas ut och vattnet i kranen gick inte att dricka - det blev inte kallt och var alldeles vitt av kalk. Riktigt äckligt faktiskt.

Plats svår att hitta idag

Jag bodde här i 6 dagar med barnen och kunde inte ha varit mer nöjd. Boendet var omgiven av vacker natur, stillsamt och rofyllt på ett sätt som är svårt att hitta idag. Huset var mysigt, välstädad och hade en hemtrevlig känsla som gjorde att man snabbt slappnade av. Tystnaden, lugnet och miljön gjorde vistelsen till något alldeles extra, vi kände oss verkligen hemma. En plats man längtar tillbaka till redan när man åker därifrån.

Wunderschön!

Die Unterkunft lag recht abseits war richtig schön. Der „Badestrand“ ist relativ nahe und man kann es wirklich dort geniessen! Das Zimmer war riesig und die Aussicht war wunderschön! Wir konnten am Abend in der Küche kochen, war alles da was man braucht au h Geschirrspüler!

Schade gab es kein Frühstück, wäre noch cool gewesen! Die Zimmer sind etwas hellhörig. Und am Schluss muss man das Zimmer kurz nich selber putzen.

Wunderschöne Einsamkeit

Die Umgebung ist wunderbar!!! Das Haus ist neu und gut ausgestattet. Es gibt auch einen Aufzug.

Das 2. Doppelbett im 4Bettzimmer Nr.3 könnte ruhig auch normal breit sein. Sehr schlicht und sparsam eingerichtet.

Für mich leider der absolute Reinfall!!!

Duftender Jasmin nahe dem Haus, Dachuhr mit Glockenspiel in akustischer Nähe, See direkt vor der Nase zum Schwimmen! Eine Rezeption gibt’s natürlich nicht, dafür ellenlange Mitteilung, welcher Code wofür und Schlüssel in Briefkasten - aber ich hatte Glück: Vermieterin war persönlich in der Nähe und hat mir aus einem der vielen Briefkästen den Umschlag mit Zimmerschlüssel gefischt und übergeben! Ich hätte mir den Umschlag, sofern überhaupt gefunden, niemals selbst genommen, denn er war nicht an mich adressiert!

NACH der Buchung - also nach Vertragsschluss! - erfahre ich, dass ich „eigene Bettwäsche und Handtücher“ selber mitbringen muss: der geschlossene Vertrag wurde somit einseitig geändert! Ich habe jedoch weder das eine noch das andere, da ich schließlich nicht zum Campen fahre und alles Gepäck in meinen Rucksack passen muss! Abends bin ich bei Ankunft hundemüde, möchte nur noch ins Bett fallen und dieses nicht erst einmal zeitaufwendig beziehen müssen! Wer mir derlei zumutet, weiß nicht, was Gastfreundschaft bedeutet und sieht mich nicht wieder! Vermieterin bot mir aber an, Bettwäsche und Handtücher von ihr zusätzlich zu mieten, was mich empört, weshalb ich sagte, dass ich dann eben auf der nackten Matratze zu nächtigen gedächte. Das passte ihr nicht, weshalb ich Bettwäsche zwar gratis bekam, nicht aber Handtücher - musste mich am nächsten Morgen also mit dem Bettlaken abtrocknen. Passwort für Wlan erhielt ich auch nicht! Selbstverständlich habe ich mich damit abzufinden, wenn in Schweden neuerdings Zimmer in Verkennung von Willkommenskultur OHNE Bettwäsche vermietet werden - aber dann will ich das gefälligst VORHER erfahren! Ich erfahre doch auch vorher, ob Frühstück „inbegriffen“ ist oder nur „verfügbar“ Als Jurist finde ich es unerträglich, wenn ich Leistungen - die wohlgemerkt zur bestimmungsgemäßen(!) Nutzung des gebuchten Zimmers zwingend erforderlich sind - zusätzlich ankaufen muss, ohne dass man mich vorher informiert! Es ist unglaublich, mit welcher Selbstverständlichkeit ich vor diesem rechtlichen Hintergrund hier immer wieder getäuscht und über den Tisch gezogen werden soll! Ich finde diese Behandlung eines Gastes nicht in Ordnung!
