Really nice house, close to the city center.

Logement très bien placé, proche du centre historique. Très grand, parfait pour un grand groupe, tout le monde à de la place. La piscine était très appréciable. La terrasse également. Communication facile avec Raül.

Beaucoup de moustiques, mais les propriétaires n'y peuvent rien ! Le syteme de ramassage des poubelles à domicile et de dépôt dans les bornes n'est pas pratique du tout, mais là encore, les propriètaires n'y peuvent rien !

We had a fantastic holiday. The house is beautiful and in a wonderful location; the views from the master bedroom are exceptional. The property has been modernised recently to a very high standard. The living area and kitchen are spacious and comfortable and there is a large amount of outdoor space also. There are 3 bath/shower rooms and a dedicated laundry room with excellent applicances. Having a door/gate key code meant never having to worry about losing the key. But the best thing about this property is its fantastic location, with a 10-minute walk to the old city with it's large selection of restaurants, bars and shops. It is also a short additional walk to the train station and the fantastic high-speed train to Barcelona. Girona is an amazing city and we never ran out of things to do. It's clean, friendly, beautifully restored and mantained and not overly crowded. The hosts (a lettings agency) could not have been more helpful and even assisted us in finding an emergency English-speaking dentist. We would definitely return.

There a few things the hosts might wish to consider: 1) Only 2 bedrooms have air conditioning, and one of these untits was faulty. Neither of the other 2 rooms or the living room have no A/C, which is a significant drawback - and we weren't there in high summer. Windows and doors have to be kept shut at night because of mosquitoes. 2) The outdoor dining area with pergola was fantastic and where we practically lived. The other seating area has no shade and so was unusable (for us); too hot in the daytime and too mosquito-prone in the evening. 3) The above-ground pool was OK (and a bonus in somewhere so close to the city), but it wasn't cleaned during our stay and by the end of the week was showing signs of algae and generally cloudiness. 4) It would be helpful to have information about the house itself and the local amenities in the property, as in most holiday lets. 5) It would be helpful to have a kettle to boil water to make coffeee. We used a saucepan. 6) The resident cat was a nuisance. It clearly lives at the property as it never left even though we did not feed it. It was also regrettable that we were only told about the cat just before we arrived. The cat itself was sweet enough and some of our party quite liked it, but we had to watch out that it didn't sneak into the house. 7) It would be good to warn visitors about the mosquitoes and perhaps share some local advice about how to deter them. 8) You might also like to warn visitors to disregard Google maps when it comes to finding the house, and advise them that this will fox even the most expert of taxi drivers. It's actually much easier to find than it looks.
