Esplanade Hotel Llandudno

Hotel location is excellent. Receptionist was good. Check inn as well as Check out was fast. Rooms and bathroom are spacious. Heathing was good. But need to improve on cleanliness. As prover vacuuming cleaning was done. There was no health Faucet. And bathroom slops to the drain was improper thus water accumulation use to occur. Thus Hotel needs to improve on these small things. Rest everything was very comfortable.

Most things were very good but the tv and wifi signal were really poor

Staff are very friendly and helpful. Public areas have been refurbed to a good standard, the room was clean but some maintenance issues; carpet had been patched, sockets loose, hallway carpets stained. To be fair we didn't pay a lot and the dearer rooms could well be better. All in all fine for an overnight stay.

Unfortunately, the hotel was very disappointing and caused us quite a few inconveniences. First of all, the carpets are extremely old and dirty, with stains everywhere. They really need to be replaced with a more practical flooring that can actually be cleaned properly. Our room was also affected by constant noise from the restaurant ventilation system, as well as the smell of food. The reception area and the exterior of the hotel look stylish, but unfortunately the rooms themselves feel dated and are not particularly clean. Another major issue is the lack of Wi-Fi. There was no working Wi-Fi in the rooms, lobby or restaurant, and Vodafone mobile reception was also practically nonexistent. It genuinely felt as though we had travelled back to the Victorian era. Even the television was basically useless and felt more like a radio than a TV. On the positive side, the location is good, and there is free parking behind the hotel if you arrive early enough to get a space. I was also very surprised that we had to pay for breakfast for our five-year-old child during the summer holidays. In many other hotels we have stayed at, breakfast for young children has either been free or cost around £1. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel. For the price, I would much rather stay at one of the budget hotel chains, where the rooms are at least usually clean, comfortable and functional. We left feeling that the hotel simply did not offer value for the money we paid.
