Recanto do Avô

I spent some truly special days in Portugal that will remain in my memory for a long time, and the Recanto do Avô apartment was both a perfect starting point and a welcoming refuge at the end of each day. The value for money is excellent: the apartment is fully equipped with everything needed for daily life and proved to be very functional. Added to this is the kindness and availability of Ruben, the host, whom I thank explicitly for accommodating a special request outside the contract, which made the stay even more pleasant. The spaces are ample and comfortable, tastefully furnished, and some parts of the apartment have been recently renovated. The location, in a condominium context in Monte Chorro, is strategic: well connected to Albufeira and the rest of the Algarve region.

The only minor drawback, which affected the stay only marginally, was the cleaning: overall good, but not optimal in some harder-to-reach areas (for example, around the sofa). In addition, the bathroom could benefit from an update, particularly the installation of a fixed shower head to avoid the need to hold it at all times. I would also recommend that the cleaning service pay a little more attention to detail.

Zaskoczyła mnie możliwość samodzielnego wejścia do lokalu kiedy na informacji z Booking klucze miał przekazać czekający człowiek. To mnie stresowało podczas problemów z wypożyczalnią samochodu i znacznie późniejszym dotarciem do noclegu. Kółka zamka szyfrowego do sejfu z kluczem są bardzo błyszczące i wybranie kodu przy oświetleniu sztucznym jest niekomfortowe

La scortesia del gestore. Avevamo dei problemi con la connessione internet e, per organizzarci al meglio, abbiamo chiesto di ricevere il codice di accesso con qualche giorno di anticipo. Questo perché, grazie a un nostro conoscente, avremmo potuto collegarci temporaneamente tramite bluetooth, prima che lui ripartisse. Il gestore ha rifiutato di fornirci il codice in anticipo, giustificando la decisione con presunte ragioni di sicurezza. Una spiegazione che ci è sembrata poco convincente, considerando che i codici sono sempre diversi. Purtroppo avevamo già effettuato il pagamento, altrimenti avremmo cambiato struttura. Il codice ci è stato consegnato soltanto il giorno dell’arrivo e, non avendo internet, abbiamo potuto accedere all’appartamento con un leggero ritardo. Nel frattempo, il gestore ci ha tempestato di telefonate insistenti e messaggi per sapere se fossimo arrivati. Inoltre, i messaggi che ci ha inviato erano scritti con un tono aggressivo e scortese, spaventandomi e rendendo l’esperienza ancora più spiacevole. Ha riferito a booking.com cose non vere sul mio conto, Se volete prenotare qui dite sempre sì al gestore altrimenti si arrabbia. Meno male che gli altri gestori dove abbiamo prenotato sono stati tutti gentili. Non mi sento di dire che questa persona rappresenta i portoghesi.
