The setting was spectacular. The cottage was very comfortable. We enjoyed the outdoor fireplace.

Comfy beds, beautiful airy house. The position on the edge of a village close to the forest opened up many local beautiful walks. Perfect base for exploring this side of the island. Wonderful facilities for both indoor and outdoor dining.
Peaceful, quiet location at the top of the village with views towards the ocean.
To get the best out of exploring the area, it would definitely be best to have a car.
Make sure you take the time to walk from the house up to the Boca de Volta's viewpoint. Spectacular views, perfect picnic spot.
It was quite tricky to turn into the driveway. I found it easier to reverse from the quiet lane outside.
