A homestay in the countryside

Patrizia was welcoming and the area is quiet and characteristic. The room decor was charming and the room we got was spacious. It was the ideal arrangement for attending a nearby wedding.

The furnishings (bed, shower) could be more modern and the garden better kept, to look more inviting. The separation between the "guest" area and the "hosts" living space is not so clear, so we had our qualms to move around freely beyond our bedroom. Average value for money compared to other accommodations in the area.

Spotless clean, comfortable and the host, Patrizia, is friendly and helpful. The location is beautiful.

Difficult to access by public transport, therefore, it's ideal if you have a car to move around.

Very clean, pleasant location, size of room, size of bathroom, use of outdoor kitchen.

Location of shower, which was over wooden shutters, shower curtain - would prefer shower screen. Bed was too hard.

Perfect Rural Simplicity

La Dimora di Corte is the epitome of rural simplicity. deep in the country to the south of Lucca it does take some finding, so do your research before your arrival. There are neighbours coming and going but nothing to disturb a good night's sleep. A bedroom with a good sized double bed and a sole use bathroom immediately adjoiningm make for a comfortable stay. Patrizia is a charming and most welcoming host, rightly proud of her offering. I was there during the ferocious heat of the summer of 2025 so I was gratified to find effective mosquito nets on the windows as the surrounding terrain is definitely Mozzie country and I was able to have both windows open for a little draught!!

For its offering I thought it slightly expensive, otherwise it is fine.

Lovely rural homestay with well appointed rooms

Beautifully appointed and spacious rooms, very kind and helpful owners, use of small kitchen area in garden (fridge, sink, table - no formal cooking facility), a pleasant rural location that would be nice if you had a small car! There's a good bar just up the road (almost but not quite walking distance!) and you're only 10+ mins' drive from Lucca (6-7 mins' drive to nearest supermarket.)

Limited parking available so talk to them first if you have a big vehicle (eg a van, like us!) as it's not really suited to parking or manoeuvring such a vehicle, being a terraced property with neighbours either side and limited parking for each property. Be a lovely place to stay if you're just using a small/med hire car!! Be nice if breakfast was provided, (notwithstanding the good bar that is about a km (?) away..)

Lovely people, down to earth and nothing was too much trouble.

Both Patrizia and Paolo were fantastic hosts! We had a very early ferry trip from La Spezia one morning and Paolo kindly was up at 5.30am to drive us to the station for less than the cost of a local taxi. The room was great and we stayed 3 nights with them. There is a lovely walk thru the countryside via lanes etc to two restaurants. (about 20mins) Bus runs into Lucca regularly. Highly recommended if you want that country feeling and not wanting to be right in Lucca. Had a light meal and wine in their lovely garden.

Authentic Italian property

If you’re a solo traveller just be aware that it is kind of in the middle of nowhere down a tiny track road so if you’re nervous at all or your mind wanders this may not be ideal for you as I also, as far as I’m aware, was the only person staying and it is a gentleman’s house who lives there. Saying that, said gentleman was very pleasant and gave me absolutely no reason to be nervous and we communicated through Google translate as I don’t speak Italian.

The host was very welcoming and helpful. The place was clean. It is a bit out of the town of Luca so need to have your own transport.

The only issue was no air conditioning and it was very hot and no fan was offered.

Lovely to spend time with in a lovely room with fantastic views, within in Italian family /community. They don't offer f&b which was clearly indicated, nevertheless when we were in the mood to drinking wine, the offered us a lovely bottle which at check out they didn't want us to pay for. Italian hospitality at it's best.

Nothing, communication was a challenge due to our lack of Italian, however it added to the charm. Really kind couple

Piękne otoczenie wśród gór. Czuć klimat wioski, co było urocze. Czysto, nowocześnie urządzony pokój, wygodne łóżko. Był czajnik I kubki, przydałyby się też małe talerze. Właściciele mili. Włączyli na moją prośbę ogrzewanie gdy wieczorem zrobiło się zimniej. Na dole w budynku mieszkają właściciele, jeśli to dla kogoś ok to w porządku

Pokój mógłby być ciut większy. Czasami było słychać rozmowy, ale po 22 cichły

Schönes Zimmer, großes Badezimmer. Für mich immer wichtig: bequemes Bett :), alles sehr sauber. Mikrowelle und Kühlschrank in der Gartenküche vorhanden. Sehr nette Vermieterin. Wir waren 5 Tage da. War sehr schön. Zentral gelegen für viele Ausflüge. Ich würde hier immer wieder buchen. Patrizia, grazie mille per tutto.

Czysto i przyjemnie

Bardzo dobry parking, spokojna okolica, przestronny pokòj. W obiekcie było bardzo czysto, a właściciele byli bardzo mili i pomocni. W pokoju był czajnik i wentylator. Mimo braku klimatyzacji temperatura była dość przyjemna. W oknach były zamontowane moskitiery.

Prywatna łazienka znajduje się poza pokojem. Obiekt położony jest dalej od centrum miasta niż w opisie (ok. 6 km) i bez samochodu trudno jest dojechać do centrum, szczególnie w weekendy.

Ottimo soggiorno breve

Ho alloggiato una notte con mia moglie in occasione di un concerto estivo. La camera si trova al primo piano in un appartamento di corte in campagna appena qualche km dalle mura antiche della città. Il bagno si trova al difuori della camera ma attaccato alla stessa e ad uso esclusivo. La prenotazione escludeva la prima colazione che non abbiamo scelto appositamente perchè non avremmo avuto tempo al mattino seguente, dovendo partire abbastanza presto. Camera molto silenziosa e bagno erano molto puliti e accessoriati di tutto il necessario in bagno (asciugamani, detergenti, phon). Gradita la presenza anche di una piccola bottiglia di acqua naturale in camera. Parcheggio auto sotto la finestra della camera da letto. Abbiamo trovato in camera il suggerimento di un'osteria che provato a cena: molto buono, consigliata.

Çok temiz bir ev ve oda, tuvalet çok temizdi. Ev sahipleri çok güler yüzlü bir çift. Çok tatlılar onları çok sevdik, oda da çok konforluydu. Bahçe harikaydı, orada bir şeyler yedik ve içtik. Lucca merkeze çok yakın, Pisa’ya çok yakın. Aracınızla 15 dakikada gidebiliyorsunuz.

Tesisten bağımsız olarak (çünkü ev sahipleri ve ev çok tatlıydı) yan komşuların çocukları ve kendileri biraz gürültülülerdi. Ama yapabilecek bir şey yok, yine de tesis harikaydı ve ev sahiplerinin elinde olan bir durum değil, farkındayım. Bu yüzden çok sevdik.
