The quality of food was below expectations

Hotel Plaza 18 was wonderful from the decor, room 3 fabulous with its own sun balcony, lots of little sitting areas to the gorgeous restaurant outside in the courtyard below and very helpful and smiley staff. A truly fabulous place to chill and unwind on our busy road trip. Would recommend

Great location Huge bathroom Loved the styling

Heating system lacked instructions (had to find online) The afternoon tea wasnt explained and was a little disappointing. Full amenities and parts of hotel not explained Sign on main door near doorbell would be helpful as we didnt know where to check in Breakfast is in the adjacent hotel which is less premium and has a very different feel - this took the edge off the experience for us having chosen to stay in the more luxuriously styled property to then have breakfast in a more rustic and less comfortable surrounding. This was perhaps impacted by the weather being cold and wet.

Very spacious bathroom with nice toiletries and towels. Pleasant terrace but disappointed that it wasn't private. Free tea and coffee making facilities were welcome.

We were in room 1, which was at the front of the building on ground level. The hotel is on the central square, so the room was very noisy when trying to sleep. The air con was good, but it kept turning off.. I thought it may have been thermostatically controlled, but this wasn't the case. The lights were very random, which meant it took minutes to switch them off! Breakfast options sounded lovely but didn't live up to expectations, and the eggs were cold. The experience was booked for a special occasion and was not what we hoped for.
