The location, layout, technology, and finishes of the apartment are excellent. The view of Table Mountain and the well-equipped kitchen are top-notch.

Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the apartment and the quality of the linen and pillows did not match the standard of such a luxurious property or the amount we paid. The bed linen had black marks, and some of the towels had stains that could not be removed. Although daily cleaning was provided, it was not thorough. The floors were often dusty, even after cleaning. We specifically asked the host to ensure that the floors were properly mopped, but dust and hair still remained behind the doors and in the corners. The owner or management company should also ensure that guests receive professional and respectful communication from the host. My father was unexpectedly admitted to the hospital while my siblings and I were away, so I asked whether we could receive a refund if we checked out three days early and returned home. When the refund was declined, my brother decided to fly home from his destination instead, as this was less expensive than ending our stay early. When we arrived at the apartment, the security staff were not very professional, and we experienced difficulties during check-in. The instructions clearly stated that guests should call the host if they encountered any problems, so I contacted her. Unfortunately, her response was rude and defensive. She accused me of making up problems with the apartment as an excuse to leave after the refund had been refused. This was both upsetting and unprofessional. I travel frequently and stay in many different properties, particularly in Cape Town, which I visit every year. I have never experienced such an unpleasant welcome or treatment. I strongly recommend that the owner or management company look into both the cleaning standards and the way this property is managed. It is a shame to see such a beautiful and luxurious apartment managed

The property was lovely. It was nice and modern. I appreciated the fact that Nicole accommodated me by allowing a late check out. The modern lighting system was superb. I enjoyed that. I enjoyed the fact that I could walk to the artscape and other places in town. I also walked to the waterfront which was lovely. I don’t know if I can say it’s very safe to walk at night if you’re alone. Some streets are deserted and not very well lit. Plus there are what seemed like dodgy hotels nearby.

The location took me aback. The noise can be hectic when you open windows in the morning. Accessibility to the location is good. The area in general lacks vibrancy that one associates with Cape Town. The apartment was not completely clean when I arrived. The kitchen did not have correct cups that could be used for coffee. They only had large normal cups which was awkward. The agent tends to take a long time to respond. Which is a concern especially in an instance where there might be an emergency. Thank goodness nothing went wrong in my case.
