Apartment Olive Grove

Die Lage in den Olivenhainen, die Ruhe und der wunderbare Blick von der Terrasse waren fantastisch. Der Besitzer war super freundlich und hilfsbereit bei allen Fragen. Das Apartment war sehr sauber und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Wir wurden auch mit Trauben aus eigenem Anbau und feinem Olivenöl versorgt. Unser Hund konnte frei laufen, alle Hunde in der Nachbarschaft waren friedlich. Von Izola aus fährt man 2 km in circa 10 Minuten die kleine gewundene Straße hinauf zum Apartment, wo der Wagen einen schattigen Parkplatz unter Olivenbäumen hat. Die Straße ließ sich auch mit unserem Nissan Qashqai gut fahren.

Ein Moskitonetz über den Betten wäre schön, da es in den letzten zwei Nächten Moskitos gab. Ansonsten haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden auf jeden Fall wieder hierher kommen.

The apartment is in a quiet green area a short distance from Piran, Izola and Koper. The veranda has a sun shade and makes a nice breakfast location. The apartment has two rooms: a living room with kitchen and a bedroom. The bedroom has a double bed and a bunk bed. The kitchen is fairly well equipped and has an induction stove top. We never met the host, but we did meet his friendly father. We liked the beach near Strunjan, which is clean, has shade and parking.

The road to the apartment is narrow with several tight curves, but we did not meet a lot of other traffic and those cars that we did meet anticipated traffic well. The kitchen has no tea kettle (water boiling is thus in a pan) nor coffee maker. The kitchen extractor fan is old and the switch did not work. The bedroom is small for four beds. The apartment is non-smoking, but people smoke on the terrace below the veranda and as a consequence, the living room smells of old smoke when the windows have been closed for a while (as they were when we arrived). We only communicated with the host over mail/text. Overall we had a good stay here, but felt the apartment was somewhat overpriced for what it offers, even taking into account that it was August and not far from the coast.
