Modern Oak Island Escape: 1 Mile to Long Beach!

Great location. Neighborhood was cute. We rode our bikes to the beach, it was perfect.

Not enough kitchen items. there was only one large knife. Like one kitchen knife that was so dull it gave me a blister when I cut up our cantaloupe. I told my kids we couldn’t have a watermelon bc there was no way we would be able to cut it open. Also the side door, that is the main door used, has heavy blinds and the door gets whipped open by the beach winds almost every-time you use it. If you didn’t grab it right away the blind would get all messed up. I spent 20-30 min putting them back together before we left. Those are very minor issues. The house was perfect. The yard was perfect. Even parking out front was shaded.

Loved the ambiance of this whole home. Very snug, but yet, spacious at the same time. Kitchen was awesome. And loved the Master/Master bath. Husband said if we ever win the lottery we’re putting an offer in for this same home.

So relaxing. Neighbors were awesome.

Very grateful that when bikes were found to be unusable, great working replacements found immediately!

I suspect the nightly cost for a place without easy beach access was a tad high, but for midweek, short stay, and last minute we were very happy.
