Charming, romantic, classy and practical

Design, clean, view, comfort

Could think about adding some amenities for cooking such as salt, pepper, some basics like oil or some tea. The Nespresso machine is professional so is impossible to get capsules. But overall amazing

Beautiful apartment with a fab view

The apartment was beautifully appointed. It was spacious and airy. We loved the floor to ceiling glass doors to take in the fanatic view along the valley. You could just make out chateau Gruyère in the distance. Check in and out was seem less and we appreciate the water in the fridge. The bed was very comfortable.

It looked like the cleaner had forgotten to clean the kitchen area. The cabinets and appliances were grubby with food and finger marks. The bins hadn’t been emptied. It was great to have a washing machine but there was no where to hang your clothes. These few things took the gloss off what is a stunning apartment

Beautiful chalet apartment

The apartment is beautiful and spotlessly clean. We had everything we needed and were very comfortable. The instructions to pick up the keys were really clear and everyone we spoke to at the hotel were very helpful and nice. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Friends Getaway

It was the perfect place to stay with our group. The flat is beautiful and the location too.

Some things were missing in the kitchen (eg. towels to clean the dishes and gloves to pick up the stuff from the oven). Yet we told the staff and they were super friendly about it and said they would take care of replacing these things.

Splendid view, luxurious and comfortable

Splendid picture-perfect view from the large balcony The chalet is decorated in a luxurious yet understated way - very nice, comfortable and warm. Fully equipped. Staff was responsive and accommodating. We recommended it to our friends and will certainly come back. Perfect spot to visit the beautiful Gruyères region.

We had a lovely experience and would certainly stay at Chalet les Ecureuils again.

The location is gorgeous and peaceful. The suite/apartment is beautiful and well-appointed, and which we used as a base from which to explore other areas of Switzerland. The hosts and staff are kind and gracious, and provided us with everything we needed.

This place was a little difficult to find, but this may have been due to an issue with the GPS.

Exceptional

Everything just surpassed all our expectations. Especially our host Frederic - he was one of the nicest most hospitable hosts we've ever encountered. We honestly didn't want to leave. The view from the balcony was spectacular, the apartment is spacious and cozy, very well-designed by Frederic himself. And the food in the restaurant downstairs is marvellous. I will return back to stay here for sure. You know when you like something so much, that you want to share it with the whole world? That's the deal with this Vieux Chalet - they deserve all the recognition and success possible!

Very well located, with exceptional view, modern and spacious. I would definitely like to return and stay longer.

Would be nice to have a sponge to wash dishes manually but that's the only thing I found that could be improved :).

Great location between Gruyère and Charmey with a view.

The staff was very friendly and responsive when we asked for more towels (we were 4 but had towels for only 3 people). The apartment was very nice, spacious, with a fully functional kitchen. It also had a great balcony with a very nice view of Gruyère and its castle. Great location between Gruyère and Charmey.

There really wasn't anything wrong. The room had been prepared for 1 kid and 1 baby instead of 2 kids. But the staff took care of it pretty promptly.

Séjour incroyable dans un nid parfait au milieu d'un décor montagnard automnal et majestueux.

Séjour très agréable en famille. Tout le monde était parfaitement installé, que ce soit dans la chambre ou dans le canapé pour les enfants. L'appartement est parfaitement équipé, nous avons pu déguster une fondue au sein de cet appartement décoré avec goût. La literie est parfaite, les draps d'une douceur très agréable et la douche très spacieuse est idéale pour se détendre après une journée à la montagne. La vue au coucher du soleil ou au réveil est incroyable. Un conseil : servez vous un café et buvez le sur la spacieuse terrasse face à cette vue sur le lac et les montagnes environnantes.

Il n'y a pas de choses que je n'ai pas appréciée. Il y a avait du savon et des échantillons de lait corporel, mais peut etre que l'installation d'un distributeur de shampoing et d'un autre de gel douche serait idéale.

Wahnsinnig idyllisch und schön :)

wow, was für eine schöne Unterkunft - das Apartment ist riesig, perfekt ausgestattet und einfach super gemütlich und schön. Wir haben gekocht, es war alles vorhanden, alles sauber und toll. Saßen lange auf dem Balkon und haben die Sonne und Aussicht genossen. Die Betten auch super bequem und das Bad mega schön.

Die Schlüsselübergabe war einfach, als wir mal den Eingang gefunden hatten, standen erst unten am Berg, mussten aber oben rum und auch da nicht gut ausgeschildert bzw für uns nicht gut ersichtlich wo wir genau hinmüssen.

Nada, pero hubiera estado bien disponer de tostadora y quizás de jabon para fregar los platos. Quizás saber de antemano la disposicion de la plaza de parking, aunque cabe decir que contestaron muy rapido a nuestra consulta.

El apartamento es precioso, con el encanto característico de los chalets suizos. La limpieza es impecable y el ambiente, muy tranquilo. Ideal para desconectar unos días en plena naturaleza de los Alpes suizos. Las vistas son impresionantes, sin duda un lugar altamente recomendable. La comida del restaurante es exquisita, con una variedad de cócteles deliciosos. Queremos hacer mención especial a Ivano, quien nos atendió con mucha amabilidad y nos recomendó lugares para visitar y platos tradicionales para probar. También agradecemos al director del hotel - restaurante, muy atento y siempre pendiente de que estuviéramos cómodos. En general, nos vamos muy contentos ny agradecidos por la excelente estancia en este hotel.

Que la hora inicial de los desayunos fuera un poco más pronto para poder aprovechar el día.
