TIMBAUD - CANAL St MARTIN

The flat is lovely and located in a fantastic area, with great local shops and services and bars and street festivals, the canal and very pleasant parks that I was able to walk to. Communication was generally good and I was pleased I didn't have to go back to the office to hand in the keys. There was a working lift (unusual) and the flat was clean and there were useful items like shower gel. Despite the issues listed below I am still considering returning in Autumn because if the weather had been a more usual temperature (Paris is typically more like 25 degrees in June, not 38) then it would have been wonderful.

I had to visit alone because due to health issues my partner would have been unsafe travelling in the extreme heat (38 degrees on two consecutive days), and if neither of us had gone, we'd have just lost all the money we paid for the flat. I did ask about changing the stay date when it became clear just how hot it would be, but was told no, which I understand because the deadline to change had passed, but I would have very much appreciated some flexibility given the circumstances, or even if not, for instance to be offered a discount on a future stay together as a kindness. So a flat no was a bit disappointing. The flat was also *very* hot - I understand there's no air con, but there was only one not very functional fan (I have better at home), so I went walking at night to cool down through the city and along the Seine, which was beautiful.

De douche liep niet goed door en het bed heeft een beetje een kuil. En het appartement ligt aan een drukke straat, dus de ramen kunnen ‘s nachts eigenlijk niet open.

The apartment was sweet, but had very low ceilings (around 2.1m) so if you are tall it would not be recommended. Unfortunately we arrived into a heatwave and there is no air conditioning and only one old fan, which was completely insifficient in the extreme heat. Would not recommend in high summer.

Update the fan, perhaps supply one for bedroom one for the living room.
