About this cottage rental
The villa is located in the heart of Chianti, the famous wine region of Tuscany, between Florence and Siena, near the medieval cities of San Gimignano, Certaldo and Volterra. The villa, situated on the top of a hill, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, offers stunning views of the Tuscan hills.
We are half way between Florence and Siena (30 minutes by car), a 20 minute drive from San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, Gambassi and Radda in Chianti, 30 minutes from Certaldo and Greve in Chianti, 40 minutes from Volterra. An hour's drive from the sea and just over an hour from Pisa.
In the house you will find:
- a nice and spacious living area arranged with comfortable sofas and a new satellite TV 49 inches.
- a kitchen with dishwasher, oven, microwave, dishes, refrigerator, freezer, toaster, american and normal coffe maker
- 2 double bedrooms, 1 twin bedroom and 3 bathrooms (all with shower)
All bedrooms have satellite TV
The pool (17m X 9m, open from 1 May till 15 October) is an infinity edge pool with lights that change color at night.
The pool area is equipped with an open gallery and an outside bathroom.
In the garden there is a large professional barbecue and a wooden gazebo (3m X 3m) with a large table to have a nice dinner outside.

Chianti in autumn is a feast for body and for soul, is really a romantic season, the ideal time also for a just a few days holiday: the countryside and the woods are colored of a thousand colors of the falling leaves, the villages come alive with many festivals dedicated to the most authentic products of territory: this is the period in which we collect the precious fruits of a year's work. Parties, festivals, public and private events are held in the days of harvest of the grape and of the olives. In the cities of art museums are open the exhibitions of the new season ...

We absolutely loved the location of this property - on a hill with wonderful 270 degree views of the Tuscan Countryside - The property had everything we needed and, in summer months, has a superb large pool together with all the facilities you would need. The family there were very helpful if we needed anything and very welcoming - They provided us with a list of superb local restaurants, 4 of which we used, and 3 of which were outstanding (and we went back to) - I would recomend the "Stone House" to anyone - Andy Whorton

We loved our week at the Stone House. The owners made us very welcome - even booking a restaurant for our first evening for us! The pool is amazing & very well maintained with regular cleaning throughout the week. Note it's 1.7m deep throughout (no shallow end) which was fine for us but perhaps not if you have younger kids who need to touch the bottom. The rooms are all spacious with attractive furnishings and everything we needed. We highly recommend a stay here. Thank you Emanuela and Giovanni!

Ein modernes komfortables Ferienhaus. Das 3. Bad ist allerdings sehr klein. Die Küche ist gut ausgerüstet, für große Menüs aber wegen kleiner Arbeitsfläche nicht geeignet.
Super Klimaanlagen und Fliegenfenster. Wir würden dieses Haus wieder buchen :-)

A beautiful location with excellent facilities and wonderful restaurants close by.Emanuela was a lovely host and made sure we felt welcome and at home.Our grandchildren (7 & 10) loved the pool and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. GRAZIE MILLE
