About this cottage rental

Situated just 150m from Port Eynon’s Blue Flag beach, 4* rated (Visit Wales) Ivy Cottage is perfect for a beach holiday or as a base to explore everything the Gower Peninsular has to offer.

One of the largest and most versatile accommodation options available on the Gower Peninsula, the cottage combines Oxwich View Cottage and Port Eynon Cottage – via interconnecting doors on the first floor – to create a holiday destination that can accommodate up to 10 adults and 4 children.

The first floor comprises of two master bedrooms with king size beds and ensuites, two double bedrooms, and two twin bedrooms (2'6" wide beds, adults also welcome!). A further double bedroom with ensuite is conveniently located on the ground floor.

Private parking is available for 5 vehicles.

The two lounges have smart TV’s and log burners whilst the two kitchens are fully equipped with an induction hob, microwave, full-sized fridge freezer, dishwasher, Nespresso machine and washer dryer and complemented by adjacent options for dining including one large dining room that can accommodate all 14 guests together.

Externally there are adjacent private gardens and paved seating and dining areas, all of which are fully enclosed for those who don’t leave home without the dog (subject to prior arrangement when booking and a small surcharge, pets are welcome provided they stay downstairs and off all furniture)!

Port Eynon’s village amenities are within 100 meters of the cottage and include The Ship Inn and Smugglers Beach Bar & Kitchen which open all year round, whilst The Beach House Surf & Coffee Shop, two fish and chip shops and a gift shop open seasonally.

Port Eynon and Horton beaches are flanked by undulating sand dunes. To the west is the popular walk to the Salt House ruins and over the cliff from there – for the more adventurous – is Culver Hole, a 13th century Dovecote and Smugglers’ Cave. The beaches can also be your gateway to the Gower and Wales Coastal path which can take you to Oxwich if you head east and Rhossili if you head west.

For those wishing to explore all the Gower Peninsular has to offer there are castles, golf courses, nature reserves, outdoor pursuits, and a wide choice of food destinations with The Mumbles and its gift shops, seafront promenade, Ferris Wheel (seasonal) and eateries offering something for everyone all year round.

The cottage is let on a Saturday-to-Saturday basis during school holidays, whilst stays of a shorter duration are welcomed outside these dates.
