Sea Sound Haraki apartment

The view from the patio was amazing! The owner left water, wine, fresh fruit, croissants, tea, coffee, preserves, fruit juice, & soft drinks and probably other items I have forgotten. The apartment was equipped with everything a holiday maker could possibly need, Air condition, full oven, hob, extractor fan, full fridge freezer, kettle, coffee makers, toaster, sandwich toaster, microwave, even all the little things had been thought of, beach towels, cutlery, ample crockery, cups, glasses, pegs to hang out wet towels, swimwear etc. A tray to carry drinks & breakfast outside. We loved the patio area and the beach-side table & chairs. We even had our own alloted sunbeds on the beach. The resort had lots of choices for food and drinks, all along the bay. It was peaceful and scenic and the local people were very friendly. There are a few small supermarkets that stock most things it seems except fresh milk. The ones by the bay were far more reasonable than the one up the road. The bay is a pebble beach & there is also a beautiful sandy beach behind the castle, about 20 mins walk. There is a bus service but as we were only there 4 days & it was very hot we didn't get time to use it.

The only thing negative if we had to be picky is the window in the door of the bedroom, let light in early in the morning. And our 2nd negative would be that we didn't stay longer!

Die Lage ist einwandfrei (von der Terrasse zum Strand sind es nur wenige Schritte, ein Schirm samt Liegen gehören zum Apartment), der Blick (über die Bucht) auf Lindos ist großartig, die Kücheneinrichtung läßt keine Wünsche offen (u.a. Kühlschrank, Herd, kleiner Kontaktgriller, Wasserkocher, eine Nespresso-Kaffeemaschine, Teller & Geschirr, usw.), im Bad gibt es zusätzlich auch eine Regenwalddusche, es sind zwei Fernseher vorhanden (die wir aber nicht genutzt haben), ein Safe für Wertgegenstände ist ebenfalls da und sogar ein Internet-Anschluß via WLAN steht zur Verfügung. Des weiteren gibt es 2 (!) Klimaanlagen für Schlaf- und Wohnraum, die separat gesteuert werden können. Erwähnenswert sind auch zwei Stühle unter einem Baum, die direkt zw. Apartment-Terrasse und Strand stehen und ebenfalls genutzt werden können. Trotz der nächsten Taverne die nur ca. 2 Häuser entfernt liegt (Kapetanios) ist es des Abends soweit ruhig. Zu Charaki im Allgemeinen: es gibt 3 Supermärkte, die binnen weniger Minuten zu Fuß erreicht werden können - und auch ein Geldautomat ist vorhanden (rechts des Lokals "Nouvelle Mediterranean Cuisine") - auch gastronomisch wird wohl jeder auf seine Rechnung kommen - von der klassische griech. Taverne über Fisch-Restaurants bis hin zu einem britischen Bistro, welches Burger, Sandwiches, usw. feil bietet.

Einziger Wermutstropfen: für Personen mit Rückenproblemen können die Matratzen ein Problem darstellen - die Vermieterin war in diesem Fall aber umgehend zur Stelle um Abhilfe (in Form einer weiteren, weicheren Matratze) zu schaffen - die Matratzen-Problematik dürfte Griechenland-Reisenden mit Rückenproblemen aber hinlänglich bekannt sein ;-) Achtung - im Juni (und wahrscheinlich auch Juli/August) ist des Abends mit Gelsen/Stechmücken zu rechnen!! (entsprechende Vorsorge ist daher anzuraten)

Everything was perfect

Cozy apartment with the most amazing views across Haraki bay. Comfortable private patio with shelter from the midday sun to sit from dawn till dusk watching the world go by and just a few metres walk down to the beach with crystal clear sea. Great restaurants very close by in both directions (but no noise disturbance) & well equipped kitchen with everything needed to cook at home. Friendly helpful owner Would 100% recommend.
