Olive Grove

Location was quiet and picturesque, large living/dining/kitchen room with lovely views. Large outside deck.

The management/upkeep of the house seemed to be a little tired: there was no ironing board, half the bedrooms had no coathangers, there was no hairdryer, no mirrors in bedrooms, fitted sheet on one of the beds was ripped down the middle, no clingfilm/alfoil or food storage containers in the kitchen, underneath the sofa had not been vacuumed for a while and furniture in one of main upstairs suites was lacking. There is an ant problem in the house and there was no ant killing or ant deterring products to use if needed.

Plenty of living space for a large group

Facilities could do with some upgrades and the kitchen needs more utensils to cater for a maximum group book

Such a beautiful house and well presented

The house was bright and spacious and the grounds were lovely. Those who stayed in the cottage and the upstairs bedrooms were very happy.

The major hiccup was the lack of hot water. Only those in the cottage and first up in the house managed to have a hot shower. The kettle had to be boiled to wash dishes. Little annoyances, like there were 12 of us, but only 4 soup spoons. A lack of coat hangers in bedrooms. Mirrors too high for anyone in downstairs bathroom. No mirror in downstairs ensuite. The couch was too low and very difficult for us octogenarians to get up from. Those of us downstairs found the bedrooms very cold. As the bill was split evenly, not everyone felt they got value for money.
