Direct, Private Access to the Beach — Miles of uncrowded public shoreline, reached exclusively from the estate’s own boardwalk. The estate sits on three private oceanfront acres with no immediate neighbors, giving your group room to gather on the beach or watch the sunset without another party in sight.
IMPORTANT NOTES
Vehicle: A 4WD or AWD vehicle with at least 7.5 inches of ground clearance is required. A tow from the sand costs $400+. Satellite parking (3 miles) and shuttle service available for non-4WD vehicles. Ford Expedition King Ranch MAX rental available at $1,000/week.
Air Down Station: 1113 Village Lane, Corolla, NC 27927. Reduce tire pressure to 18–20 PSI before entering the beach.
Parking: 10 vehicles on-site, all must be 4WD/AWD.
Pet Policy: Dogs welcome, maximum 3 per stay — $250 pet fee.
Check-In: 4:00 PM — lockbox code and arrival guide sent 48 hours prior. Check-Out: 10:00 AM. Early check-in and Late check-out subject to availability.
Minimum Stay: 7 nights preferred peak summer (June–August), Sunday-to-Sunday. 3-night minimum in shoulder and low seasons.

The Mark Twain is professionally cleaned and inspected before every arrival. If anything falls short of that standard, tell us within 24 hours of check-in and we will have it corrected within 24 hours of your report. If we do not, your cleaning fee is refunded in full. Refunds under this guarantee apply only where we fail to re-clean within that window.
SAND, WALKWAYS, DECKS & POOL AREA
Outdoor walkways, stairs, decks and pool surrounds are cleaned and sand is removed periodically, subject to weather, safe access and coastal restrictions. Wind, tides and storms may bring sand back shortly after cleaning; daily removal and continuously sand-free surfaces are not included. Please contact us if buildup obstructs access.
Wear secure, slip-resistant footwear on outdoor walkways, stairs, wooden decks and around the pool; avoid walking barefoot. Walk carefully, use handrails and do not run on wet or sandy surfaces. Rinse sand from feet, footwear, swimwear and beach equipment at the designated outdoor rinse area, where provided, before entering the home, pool or hot tub. Remove sandy footwear indoors; do not wash or sweep sand into pools, hot tubs or indoor drains.
No glass near the pool or hot tub. Do not drag or rearrange furniture, place indoor furniture outdoors, or move pool equipment. Keep paths clear, supervise children and keep pool gates closed. Do not climb railings, bypass barriers, remove caution tape or enter closed areas. Use only access routes designated for your reservation.
Report loose boards, exposed fasteners, broken glass, damaged gates or other hazards immediately and stop using the affected area until management confirms it can be used. Share these rules with all guests and visitors. Documented guest-caused damage or extraordinary cleaning may be charged under the rental agreement; ordinary windblown sand and normal wear are not guest-caused damage.

We had a wonderful stay at Outer Banks Mark Twain Oceanfront by LUXSTAYUSA. The house was spacious, beautiful, and perfect for enjoying time with our group by the ocean. The location was peaceful with amazing views, and the home had plenty of room for everyone to relax comfortably. Communication was smooth, and the overall experience was great from check-in to checkout. We would definitely recommend this property for a memorable Outer Banks stay.

We had an incredible stay at the Mark Twain Oceanfront home from March 2 to March 4. The property was spacious, beautifully designed, and perfect for our group getaway. The amenities were exactly what we were looking for—plenty of room for everyone to spread out, a fully stocked kitchen, a private pool and hot tub, and direct beach access just steps from the back door.One of the most magical parts of our stay was seeing the wild horses right outside the property! It truly felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience to watch them roam freely along the dunes and shoreline. It added such a peaceful and surreal vibe to our mornings and evenings.The house itself was clean and well-equipped, and we appreciated the multiple entertainment areas and the convenience of the elevator, especially for our older guests. The ocean views from the deck were absolutely breathtaking—we could’ve spent all day out there.

The "Families to Forever" retreat not only lived up to its enchanting name but exceeded our every expectation.First and foremost, the setting of this retreat is breathtaking. Nestled right by the sea, the views are panoramic and utterly serene—perfect for both romantic moments and family fun. The grounds are meticulously maintained, with lush gardens that bloom vibrant flowers and pathways that invite leisurely strolls.The accommodations were top-notch. Our suite was spacious, beautifully decorated with coastal chic decor, and provided all the comforts of home and more. Every morning, we were greeted with the soothing sounds of waves and a stunning sunrise that we watched from our private balcony.What truly sets Seaside Weddings & Retreats apart is their impeccable service. The staff went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable. They were attentive without being intrusive, managing to anticipate our needs before we even had to ask.The activities available were perfect for all ages. The kids had a blast at the beach, engaging in organized games, while the adults enjoyed some relaxation at the spa and evening cocktails by the firepit. The highlight, of course, was the beautiful vow renewal ceremony they arranged for us. It was heartfelt and beautifully orchestrated against the backdrop of the setting sun over the ocean.

The house worked well for a large group like we had. Location was great. The house is in need of some maintenance. Painting, pressure washing & deck replacement. We also had trouble with the AC not working well in the bottom floor.
