SUN SEA HOUSE TAORMINA

If you like being a literal stone’s throw from swimming in the Med then, among many other reasons, you’ll love this place. Two big bedrooms with a large shared balcony with 2 tables and 4 chairs for meals overlooking the sea. Large comfortable beds. Great to have 2 bathrooms. 3 AC units were a must in the height of summer. Bus stop out front for very easy access to Taormina shopping, dining, and swimming - I’m really glad we got up early to go snorkel at Isola Bella (so much fun). Or stay local for dining and walking the coast to Giardini Naxos boat tours. Owner Ivan was the very responsive, helpful, and friendly

Anything I write here is of minor consequence. The kitchen is a good size and suited us really well. Some larger prep knives and food prep space would be welcome additions. Oh, one more detail. The location was a little inaccurate when relying on booking.com and apple and Google Maps. Ask Ivan for specifics to make the walk from the train station to the apt easy.

Everything was great. Ivan was very kind and helpful. I can highly recommend staying here.

Geen eigen parkeerplaats - geen schoonmaak bij lang verblijf (maar dat is natuurlijk bij een b&b)

The location between Giardini Naxos centre and Taormina was really good. You can catch a bus to Taormina from outside the apartment for a couple of Euros but we also walked up a steep path to the town centre that starts just after the railway station. We didn't hire a car because we were so close to the station and used trains to get to and from Catania, the airport and Siracusa. The view from the apartment is stunning and there is a good shop nearby for food and drink.

The traffic noise is quite loud at peak times but we could close the windows and use the air con if we needed to.
