De' Servi Loft al Duomo - Charming Italy Tour

L’emplacement est super, ce qui nous a permis de passer un très bon séjour à Florence.

La propreté peut laisser à désirer (énorme quantité de poussière sous le lit, des poils dans la douche et dans le bidet). Papier peint qui se décolle pour cacher des fissures au mur. L’appartement n’est pas bien insonorisé (camion poubelle qui passe tous les matins à 6h30, réveil du voisin qui sonne à 7h). Ne dérange pas si sommeil lourd. Nous avons eu la mauvaise surprise de voir apparaître les gérants du logement à 9h du matin pour changer un réfrigérateur défectueux. Nous n’avons eu aucun message ni appel pour nous prévenir de l’intervention. Les gérants ont juste toqué, puis sont rentrés dans l’appartement 10 secondes après. Je n’ai même pas eu le temps de descendre.

It's an amazing location and in its substance a beautiful apartment, with wood floors, exquisite stone stairs and fireplace, and massive windows. The building is very nice and there is a great elevator, which was a real boon at the end of a long day walking around the city. Riccardo was extremely friendly, helpful, and attentive to our requests. I loved the bed (my wife was less happy), and our daughter was perfectly happy in her own space under the loft.

In contrast to the beauty of the apartment, much of the furniture was cheap IKEA and the kitchen chairs and table were unstable. The bathroom doors did not close properly; the fan in the upstairs bathroom did not work. Cleaning was superficial, including sticky countertops and some unclean glasses and cutlery. The WiFi was defective to the point of being unusable, and it could not be fixed during our stay; to my surprise, I was not offered a discount to offset this and other inconveniences. Also, there is an unavoidable price to be paid for the amazing location: excessive noise from drunk students and tourists late at night.

It’s a convenient location for most things we chose to see/do in Florence. Not a long walk to anywhere, really. Although getting to the train station with luggage is a bit far, so we used a taxi app (apptaxi worked well)

Could have used some instruction on the washing machine. I thought it had a separate drying function but never did find a mode that didn’t include wetting the clothes. We ended up hanging clothes all around the apartment to dry them fully. Could not find a helpful video tutorial, and we didn’t bother the host to ask - not a big deal.

Great location in the centre of town close to the Duomo. Very safe entrance into the apartment and quiet once inside. Apartment was spotless with all the needed kitchen items. Very cool and great to have the option of air-conditioning.

Lots of broken items unfortunately - broken chair, broken shower upstairs, broken iron, dirty/burnt iron board, TVs not working. Though the hosts tried to resolve some issues (iron) these should be looked at prior to guests staying. Other issues - insufficient lighting in the apartment made it difficult to enjoy in the evening. - upstairs bed was not a double. It was two singles on a big bed frame. Not good for couples. We paid a lot for the apartment so did not expect to have so many issues. With a bit more attention to detail, this would be a great place to stay, but at current state, not good value.
