Cute Home, Newly Remodeled, Great Location!

This property is centrally located to many attractions, and close to downtown Grand Rapids. Woodland Mall is not too far, and has a movie theater and a Cheesecake Factory. The John Ball Zoo is about 8 miles away, driving on side streets, so no need to take the freeways. Gun Lake Casino is about a half hour drive south on US-131. Very good 65th Birthday trip with my sisters!

Cute and clean!

Host communication was good. The property itself was very clean, excluding a strong musty smell that seemed to be coming from the basement. More than enough cooking utensils, clean bedsheets and pillows as well, with extras in the closet.

We needed a location close to local family for a work-from-home last week of summer. This small home has two lower level bedrooms, and upstairs space that is great for teens. Pluses: beds were comfortable, there is a full size PacMan game upstairs and XL bean bags that the kids enjoyed; the kitchen is small but well equipped; there is plenty of hot water; the owner was very responsive to questions; the neighborhood was quiet and has a mix of young families; the location (just off Fuller) is 10-15 minutes away from everything you need in GR. Minuses: the house is very creaky (and my husband is a very early riser); there is no storage space or place to hang towels in the bathroom and ventiliation in there was poor (things became musty smelling on the second day); there is very limited furniture in the bedrooms (no dressers to unpack or store toiletries); the kitchen table is quite small (somewhat hard for 4 people to actually dine at); there was no desk big enough to work remotely from. Overall, if you are looking for a small place as a base for exploring GR, it was a cost effective option.
