About this farm stay rental

100+ years old 2BR 1.5 Bath farmhouse with modern conveniences. Located on the south side of the Llano river. Sleeps 6. 2 separate bedrooms, full kitchen, period style parlor & den. Front porch spans the home & offers beautiful river views. Pecan trees shade the yard. Private river access. All linens and kitchen utensils provided. Comfortable beds with quality bedding. The Castell General Store is an easy walk & offers great food along with some really good company among the locals. This particular home, and the community of Castell is rich in history as well as hospitality.

A little piece of heaven just steps from the Llano River! Adorable cottage with historic charm. Especially love the front porch swing overlooking the water. This was our 3rd time to stay and we will most definitely return!!

We have a deer camp in Llano. Came up to fill up feeders and spend time with my daughter ‘s boyfriend who is attending the Lone Star school of Taxidermy. Hudsen’s On The Llano was a hidden gem for us. The beautifully decorated farmhouse was comfortable and comforting . From sipping coffee on the front porch swing to watching to Llano river roll by, my husband and I enjoyed the time spent here.

The whole property feels like you stepped back in time to a more simple life. The house is a home, and within 3 minutes walking to the river, where we stayed most of the day. Then walked to the general store for dinner!

My girlfriends and I had a wonderful time at Hudsen’s on the Llano. The property is clean, the beds are comfortable, and the location is peaceful. Inclement weather kept us indoors for part of our stay, but there was plenty of room in the kitchen, living area, and covered porch for us to cook, play games, and enjoy ourselves. The home is decorated beautifully and comfortably. We do believe there is a miscommunication in the listing which refers to the home as having 1 and 1/2 baths. This home has one full bath and a small room with an extra toilet (no sink or mirror). The fine print on the listing specifies that the full bathroom contains a sink, so I think we were to assume that the other bath does not have a sink. (Never have heard of a 1/2 bath without a sink, though). Four women getting ready in the morning with one single sink vanity took some juggling! Also, as in some rural areas, you are expected to take your own trash away with you. Another little challenge in the rain for a car full of women and their belongings. I would 100% recommend staying here if the rooms works for you. It’s adorable and just about 20 minutes from some fun shops and restaurants in Llano or Mason. Plus, it has easy access to the beautiful Llano River.

Very impressed with the layout of this cottage on the Llano River! We hog hunted just a few miles down the road and this lodge was in a perfect location and was a wonderful place to rest, shower, eat and visit with friends and family. The front porch was especially awesome in the early evenings! Would recommend to anyone who wants to get away from the busy life and RELAX!

We absolutely loved this little farmhouse nestled in the peaceful heart of the hill country. The house was amazing, as well as the front porch that brought peace back into the hearts of two people with very stressful jobs. I am an RN in downtown Fort Worth, and as you can imagine, the pandemic has depleted my energy over the past year. This was this perfect home to get a little R&R. The locals are great and you’re just a short drive from the charming little town of Mason. We are so thankful for the time spent here. It was clean and the host was always quick to answer our questions. We will be returning no doubt.
