About this house rental
Hale Kai Hawaii Suites offers four oceanfront rooms (booked individually) and a spectacular, panoramic view of the blue Pacific Ocean and Hilo Bay. We overlook the popular Honolii surfing beach in a peaceful location just 2 miles north of historic Hilo Town. Revel in the best views in Hilo while at our pool and oceanfront lanai!
The Bamboo Room offers a king bed, private bathroom with shower, WiFi, SMART TV, small fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, hot water pot, toaster, dishes and utensils, ceiling and portable fans, no air conditioning, and sliding door to lanai. Continental breakfast items are stocked daily and we invite all guests to swim in the pool or lounge on the oceanfront lanai.
A few NOTES: One parking spot is provided per room in this quiet residential neighborhood. All Guest Rooms are facing the ocean on the lower level of the property and there are over 30 steps down (pictured) to traverse to the rooms. Guests are responsible for carrying their luggage to their rooms. Bookings limited to 2 guests per room (including children). Quiet hours are 9pm to 8am for the comfort of all of our guests, Mahalo!

Great beautiful place and view, very clean and comfortable room. Host was great, everyday got fresh fruit and muffins. We really enjoyed our stay, would highly recommend this place for a beautiful stay away from the city hussel and bussel, just 10mins to the city beautiful beaches very close by.

The Bamboo Room was very comfortable and had a gorgeous view of the ocean and Hilo. We ate breakfast and a takeout dinner at the table outside. Loved the gardens. We would definitely come back.

We had a great stay in the Bamboo Room. It was perfect for us - clean and comfortable with plenty of room. Sunrises on the patio with brewed coffee. A quick drive into Hilo for activities and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again!

We arrived for a 3 night stay and things were like we remembered from 2021. The room met expectations but the more we evaluated the property there were some things that had declined. The pool was very dirty and the vacuum was in it the entire time. Therefore, we did not use the pool. The breakfast was still as nice as we remembered from 2021. On the third morning we left towels out as instructed but they were not replaced. Later that afternoon I texted the host about the towels with no reply that day. We had to use a beach towel to dry off after showers that was used earlier that day. The following morning we were preparing to leave when she replied that she was trying to contact housekeeping. At this point is was far too late so it was very disappointing that she didn’t even reply the afternoon we needed the towels. Everything in the booking process was great but the housekeeping miss and the host lack of response was very disappointing.
