Country B&B Corniola

Everything about this stay was perfect. The room was in an exceptionally well renovated 19th century villa surrounded by immaculately manicured grounds with fountains and flowers. Our room was spotless and we had a huge terrace with seating overlooking the grounds. Our host Giulia was so helpful and generous with her time. Breakfast was bountiful with fruit, pastries, cheese and meats. A lovely woman (sadly, I cannot remember her name) served us delicious cappuccino in fine china. Truly, this place is a gem. It's not in Empoli itself but rather on the hills above in a small community called Corniola and is conveniently located between Florence and Pisa with easy access to the Empoli train station. If you have a car (strongly recommend) there are many lovely communities to visit nearby as well as great restaurants. There is an elevator in the villa if you need it and you have access to beautifully furnished seating areas inside the villa itself on the ground floor. Bonus: if you want to plan an destination event (wedding/anniversary/birthday) there isn't a better place in Tuscany that I can think of.

Maria Guiana was very warm and inviting. Her family Villa is a wonderful piece of history. Maria Guiana gave us recommendations for sights to see and we were not disappointed! Our room exceeded our expectations! The breakfast was delicious and a perfect example of a traditional Italian breakfast. We enjoyed fresh variety of meats, cheeses, fruits, and breads. We highly recommend!

Villa Corniola is a true gem. Initially, we chose it for its convenient location in Empoli, providing easy access to major highways leading to Florence, Pisa, and Lucca. However, upon seeing it in person, the pictures simply don't do the villa justice. Every room and corner of the property is breathtaking. There's nothing quite like enjoying a relaxing drink on the balcony or soaking in the stunning mountain views from the other side of the villa after a day of exploration. Maria Giulia, the owner of the villa, has poured her heart and soul into it. She is a wonderful host—helpful, approachable, and full of great tips. Breakfast served in the beautifully decorated cellar is not only delicious but also a delightful experience, enhanced by our enjoyable morning conversations with Maria Giulia. If you're seeking a spectacular villa with manicured lawns and easy access to all major Tuscan attractions, you won't find a better option. Thank you so much for everything, Maria Giulia!
