Vivienda Vacacional en Paseo Fluvial río Coroño, Boiro

A traditional Galician stone home, even with its own "cruceiro," but with all the modern amenities, completely remodeled. Our hosts were so lovely! They greeted us with a basket full of goodies and even during our stay gifted us with a basketful of fresh harvest, including fabulous vegetables and fresh farm eggs. Being on the river, every time you open the living room or upstairs bedroom windows, you have the feel of being in a storybook home on a farm, hearing the running flow of the water and looking through its crystal clarity to the stones below was always so soothing. The skylights were a nice plus, the downstairs ones being electric and upstairs each with its own wand to open by hand. Walk across the bridge over the river to "Os Muinos" and you'll enjoy all the typical local favorites while dining al fresco, like the backyard of this house, or walk down the backyard steps to the hammock for a nice siesta under the trees by the river. You can walk to the local beach or by car be there in literally one minute. The house is spacious, clean, and nicely decorated, with not only an extra family room with its own t.v. with games for family fun, but also the old, original stone kitchen, "lareira," has been beautifully restored, and sits in its own room with a long dining table and benches, so that if you care to use it to cook food over an open fire you won't have smoke smell throughout the house, as it has a door to close it off from the house, along with windows and a door to the garden. There is a washing machine in a laundry room adjacent to the front door, but no clothes dryer so we hung our clothes to dry with a rack provided, either in the beautiful Galician sun in the yard or in the "lareira" room. We loved staying in this beautiful, completely refurbished Galician home. Close to the freeway, 10min from Noia, and great location in general to access many different local treasures. Driveway is a little steep but after a couple of times I was a pro at getting in and out. Great home for a family vacation. We were extremely comfortable with our family of four plus my elderly parents.
