Oglethorpe Square Retreat is located right off of Oglethorpe Square, only one block from Broughton Street, and minutes from the river. This first floor apartment is great for guests that do not wish to compromise location, but desire to remain in a more residential area. The space gleams with natural light, from the large windows in every room, and boasts with historic features such as original hardwood flooring, high ceilings, and restored fireplaces.
Enter into the building with the secure keypad, and head back to your new Home away from Home! Upon entering you'll find the spacious living room, that features an ample amount of comfortable seating, a flat screen television, and large windows that fill the space with natural light. Guests can take advantage of the sofa that converts into a queen size bed, if needed. Off of this space, you'll find the large bathroom with plenty of space to store your belongings, and a shower/tub combination, perfect for soaking the long day away.
Head to the back of the apartment to find the renovated kitchen, that is equipped with all of the modern conveniences one could wish for. From the elevated white granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and fully stocked kitchen, you'll want to prepare home-cooked meals every night! The quaint and charming bistro table can be served as a dining space, workspace, or place to gather for a game of cards!
Tucked away off of the living room, the cozy bedroom awaits! You'll will find a king-size bed, along with a tall wardrobe that can be utilized for all of your belongings.
Situated directly across from Oglethorpe Square, guests are just a few steps away from Savannah attractions such as Owens-Thomas House, Telfair Museum, and the string of local shops and cafes along Broughton Street, Savannah's "Main Street". Walk through the squares with an ice cold beverage from one of the several bars found in City Market, heading towards River Street to see the massive cargo ships sail by at sunset.

Parking for this home is on-street and metered, with enforcement by the City of Savannah Monday through Saturday, 8am to 8pm. Guests may conveniently pay using the ParkSavannah app, feed the meter or parking kiosks directly, or utilize a nearby public parking garage. Pre-paid visitor parking passes are available for purchase at the Parking and Mobility Services office. Please take note of posted Sweep Zone signs when parking on the street.

Great part of town. We were close to everything. Apartment was nice and clean with everything we needed. Easy to get into the building. The windows did not have shades/curtains on the tops of the windows. Luckily we did bring eye covers from reading the other reviews and that worked perfectly.

My family of four stayed in the charming apartment for a week during my daughter’s dance national competition. It was cozy and very clean, and centrally located to everything we wanted to do, including traveling to and from convention center. We would absolutely stay here again!

The location was excellent! Check in/out was seamless. Floors were not very clean and we found a dirty towel in the bathroom upon arrival. The bed mattress (too soft) and pillows were very uncomfortable (flimsy). The couch fabric seemed dirty. The couch pillows were also not comfortable/no support. Overall, it seemed like a very old/unsupportive couch. TV in the bedroom did not work. Water temp in the shower was barely warm.
Savannah as a city was charming and we loved walking everywhere.
