About this apartment rental
Charming sunny private suite with private kitchen , private bathroom, in a historic house near subway in safe area, 15 minutes by subway to financial center, walk to subway station, beach. Three sunny windows, high ceilings, study alcove window faces ocean. Private corridor with lovely stained glass window leads to fully-equipped kitchenette. Private bathroom with colored-glass decoration & tiling. WIFI, towels, furniture provided--the full-sized bed is like sleeping on a cloud!
LOCATION
Charming Victorian home on Jones Hill, in a safe part of Boston located just west of Savin Hill, which is our closest subway stop--we are only 10 minutes walk to the safe and reliable Red Line. The Red Line will take you to the financial, theatrical and historic and districts of Boston in 15 minutes, including JFK Museum, UMass Boston, the Financial district and Chinatown, the theatre district, MGH, and the Freedom Trail; Harvard Square is on the same subway line.
We are only 15 minutes walk to Savin Hill Beach and the sea-side and riverside bike trails. The apartment is an in-law unit, you enter it through the main house, which is a charming Victorian built in 1880 by the farmer who owned the hill for his daughter.
You enter the house and go up a flight of steps to get to the private unit; once you are in the unit, you have your own private bedroom with study alcove overlooking the ocean and garden, with in-suite bathroom and a small kitchen overlooking the garden.
KITCHEN
The kitchen has a full set of counter-top electric cooking appliances, a small refrigerator, full sink with disposal and fold-down table. The bedroom has a full-size bed as well as a fold-out ottoman (single-sized bed).

PARKING
Parking on-street is free, and there are plenty of spaces on the upper part of Salcombe St, our nearest cross-street. Street sweeping every other Friday, so read the signs for which side to park that day. Only ten minutes walk to Savin Hill Subway station, along the way you will see some good restaurants including Shanti and Savin Kitchen and Grill, plus some nice breakfast cafes near the station.
WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE
There is a convenience store about a block away from our house, and near the station there is a food market called The Daily that has great local produce and all kinds of other food and ingredients; no need for a supermarket trip! The pharmacy is about half way to the subway station, and is also a general store. Guests can use anything in the unit; WIFI is provided, also information on tourism and a set of keys.
NO SMOKING
This is strictly a non-smoking house, but it is OK to smoke outdoors, ONLY in the smoking area located in the front yard.
NO PETS
Also, no pets are allowed because of allergies; no emotional support animals either.
LANGUAGES
I speak French, Italian and English, usually understand Spanish, and use a translation app to chat with guests in other languages.

Lovely property with a very nice owner. Really easy check-in process with plenty of privacy offered. Owner is super friendly and informative. Location is great with two mini-marts are nearby for supplies, food options are also a short walk away, as well as the train. Air Conditioner was greatly appreciated. Highly recommend

The house is historical and the owners can offer you a lot of information about that. The suite is tiny but lighted by the sunny windows. It has views of the yard and the houses around Jones Hill. You can even see the Atlantic if you look hard. There is cookware for cooking, a great shower with really hot water, and a comfy bed. What more could you ask?
