La Sierra - Appartement 4 personnes - Val Thorens

Apartment was great. Good layout, very quiet as a corner apartment. Location really good, ski in and out the back entrance. The bunk beds were both small doubles so really good for the kids. Wifi wa great which is a rarity in these budget friendly apartments. Good TV as well.

As we arrived late, keys were in lockbox which was great. Would not have been very convenient to collect keys from the concierge, with all my luggage. Same with drop off, would be more convenient if you could leave keys in lock box.

The location is excellent—very close to everything you need, including shops, ski lifts, and restaurants. We appreciated the cosy atmosphere of the apartment, and it was pleasantly warm during our stay. However, the windows and balcony doors are not very well insulated.

The building is somewhat old-fashioned and not particularly well maintained, so the first impression was not very positive. We also had to make the beds ourselves, as the bedding and towels were provided in large bags next to the beds; however, everything was very clean. Guests are expected to clean the apartment before departure, including washing the dishes and removing the bedding from the beds. It is also important to note that there is no free parking available on the street.

Fairly close to the lifts. Also close to grocery stores. Plenty of hot water, that was excellent. Stove top worked great, and there was a great view.

Lights in area outside of the bathroom didn't work; lamp in bunk room broken; lamp above top bunk broken; broken chair, water dripped down from ceiling; cracked bowls, cups; too much excess decorative crap in closet; no trash bags, toilet paper; cupboard knobs broken/falling off; difficult to contact management; not enough bed linens, mattress covers, duvet covers and excessive amount of blankets; clothesline in bathroom broken; no battery in smoke alarm.
