Location is unbeatable, only 2 blocks from the heart of downtown & 1/2 block from the Shooks Run walk/bike path. This cute 1200 SF early 20th century cottage has been remodeled w/ modern amenities & charm. Large bedrooms, off street parking, keyless entry, Smart TV, fast & free dual-band Wi-Fi & desk area for ‘working remotely’ convenience makes this the ideal stay!
ACCESS: the cottage has a private entry off the alleyway. There is no street access. Please read the directions thoroughly after booking!! We also provide a map.
PARKING: Private, off-street parking space for 2 vehicles or 1 with small trailer. Inquire about other parking options.
EXTERIOR: A path off the front door leads to a private covered porch with seating area. New landscaping and BBQ grill with enclosed fence for privacy.
KITCHEN: Spacious full kitchen with plentiful basics for your cooking needs. Fridge/freezer, cooktop, stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, and blender.
DINING AREA: Open to the kitchen and living room, there’s plenty of space for informal meals.
LIVING ROOM: Cozy and comfortable sofa and loveseat with Smart TV and books available for use during your stay.
BEDROOM #1: The main level master bedroom is spacious with a King-sized bed, Smart TV, USB outlet lamp, closet with hangers, portable fan and comfortable lounge chair.
BEDROOM #2: Comprised of the entire 2nd floor, this large bedroom includes an upholstered queen sized bed, USB outlet lamp, closet with hangers, portable fan and workspace with desk and chair.
BATHROOM: Full bath with shower/tub combination. Towels are provided.
LAUNDRY AREA: Stacked washer and dryer available for use during your stay.

The location was excellent for our work needs. The host J was very responsive and even installed gate for our dog to fence in the back yard. This make the stay extra special for our boxer Ivy who really enjoyed the outdoor space.The cottage is very well stocked with what you would need for a comfortable stay.

We enjoyed the property and it was very clean. Just what we needed. It is hard to find even with the directions provided as it is off a dead end alley. Also, the upstairs bedroom does not have heat vents so was a bit chilly. In winter, it might be really cold if no space heater or something provided.

The communication was terrific, cottage was very clean, bedrooms were spacious, dinner was never more than a 5-minute drive away, my daughter loved the word searches & the local snack upon arrival was a really nice touch.
The reason it's not a 5-star is because the listing is a bit misleading with A/C. There's A/C in both bedrooms, but not in the common areas, so it wasn't so comfortable during the 90+ degree days, even in the mornings. We were hoping to be able to walk a mile here or there to get food, but the neighborhood isn't well lit and the entry to the house is in a back alley, so walking at night didn't feel as safe as I was hoping.

We had a great stay at this location. The house was nice and clean and the owners were very cool with us. Extended us a day on late notice. The inside was nice and had a good vibe. Some of the doors were a bit tough to open and close….but no big deal.
The only downside is it’s tough to find for Uber drivers and DoorDash. We had issues with that multiple times. The no AC was a bit rough because it got scorching hot out while we were there. They do have plenty of fans and a portable AC unit to help with that though.
All in all, I’d highly recommend staying here.
