We loved the site! Everything was well thought out and environmentally conscience. A real offgrid, back to nature retreat. Ren, Betty the dog and the hens were all so friendly and welcoming.

Everything about Rens place was absolutely fantastic/ amazing interesting and fun place to stay / chilled out /relaxing and great to get back to basics even though Rens place is far from basic / the VIP lounge amazing space to just sit back and and unwind / the toilets and shower a wonderful experience/ the chickens and ducks early morning wake up call ( but not to early👍) and the whole experience and Ren is a lovely person helpful and the salt of the earth (and not forgetting the duck eggs for breakfast in the mornings ❤️❤️)
Absolutely nothing to dislike

Exactly what it said on the tin. All sustainable, felt quiet and safe. Not far from Newquay at all. Ren cleans multiple times a day to make sure it’s as clean as possible. Ren is warm and hospitable, always ready to help.
Loved the chickens and ducks running around, didn’t love the poo that comes with it though. Can’t really have one without the other so there’s not really a lot to change.
I’m not a compost loo fan, it’s just not for me personally however I will say it’s the cleanest compost loo I have ever seen.

Ren is the most lovely host! The moment we arrived she welcomed us with open arms and immediate smiles. She showed us round, gave us Cornwall tips and trix, great locations for a meal and/or a drink and answered any other questions we had. The camp sight is wonderful. The tents are warm, waterproof, spacious and comfortable. The toilets are maintained and changed daily, and the shower is always hot. There's lots of cooking facilities, and everything you'll need to cook, be it the gas stove, or the BBQ, it's there, and maintained. The intricate details dotted around are what make this place so special, so go and discover its wonders for yourself, enjoy!
And thank you once again to the amazing Ren, we will be back!!!
The only downer was a lot of bugs and flies in the kitchen area, which is fully seasonal, but perhaps during this time, some citronella candles dotted around would help to keep bugs away from foods, just to give that extra feel of cleanliness alongside a well cleaned and maintained sight

Novelty and cleanliness. Also charging block for electronics. Cute ducklings and noisy ducks chickens! Lovely. A real haven. I had a great shower too.
Nothing!

Beautiful little campsite, definitely would recommend to anyone who would be happy to live off grid for a few days! So peaceful and comfortable x

Wow, what a hidden gem! We were in need of a one night stop over and this place ticked all the boxes, we wish we could have stayed longer.
Ren and her gorgeous dog Betty were so welcoming and made us feel right at home.
The tent was spacious and comfortable, we had a great night sleep!
The facilities were clean, tidy and exactly what you need when staying off grid! we loved the communal kitchen!
Overall the whole experience was 10 out of 10 and we look forward to coming back in the future!
Ps. Thank you Ren for the duck eggs!

Some distance from local towns / shops but the walk is enjoyable for us

From the minute we arrived, our host Ren was brilliant. She greeted us warmly and explained the whole site to us. As we had read the write-up beforehand, we understood the toilet was a compost toilet and that this was an off-grid campsite. The site met and even exceeded our expectations. I felt so relaxed during our stay, and we were close to everything we needed. The local pub was amazing and offered great value on food. We would definitely stay here again!

The tents were cute and cosy! The whole set up is easy to understand there’s helpful information everywhere on how to use things and what to do. The communal areas were well kept and would have been lovely to talk to other campers but we were the only ones there! So we had the whole site to ourselves and it was so peaceful and just a great way to be off grid (while still having some signal for any emergencies) and enjoy some time away from life!
The compostable toilet situation was a new one for us as were used to regular plumbing. It’s a great idea and a good way to be sustainable and wouldn’t put us off staying again! I wouldn’t say it’s something we didn’t like? It’s just a new experience and we will most likely head back again for our next Cornwall trip!

The campsite and tent were lovely, the tent was clean but we were on a slope, the matress kept coming off the base and my partner ended up on the floor a few times 🙈 ... we loved the ducks etc that were roaming around and the site itself was beautiful, quiet and in a great location.
Ok. The Glitter sh*tter. I am so shocked that previous reviewers have said how 'clean' it is.
I have never felt so dirty using a toilet. We aren't just talking about a few bugs, I mean it was awful. It is also just a shed with a flimsy door of which you can see through the gaps of and dosnt look/feel secure if someone tries to walk in whilst you are on the loo.... We actually left to go home after the first night (were supposed to stay for 2) which is so disappointing as we had 2 nights planned away without our 4 children and I kind of feel nearly £200 was wasted. The shower was also extremely dirty and frankly you would have probably come out more dirty than you went in.
I'm all for eco etc and have stayed other places such as this but there was at least some hygiene within the toilet and shower areas. This is such a shame as if it wasn't for the toilet and shower area it would be a truly amazing little campsite.

Tent/ soft furnishings smelt really bad. Owner had obviously tried to cover smell with air freshener before we arrived .. yuk!! kept me awake it was so unpleasant..

So many great little quirks with this stay. Waking up from the chickens and ducks clucking about, Betty the friendly dog looking for a good scratch. The tents themselves were cozy and had nice touches. Solar powered fairy lights to give a soft light in the night, power banks to recharge your phones etc. The glitter shitter, a completely eco friendly, compost toilet! Surprisingly great shower!
A kitchen made from waste materials, the whole thing was brilliant!

We had a fantastic time at Paddock Wildcamp! The bed was super comfy and the tent was so spacious for us and our big dog. Great walking distance to Perranporth beach!! Ren was an amazing, lovely host, who greeted us immediately and gave us lots of advice on hot spots/places to go. We loved the hammocks and chill out zen space with windchimes, such a thoughtful area. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Was incredible to be around nature and re-set. We'd definitely come again!! We are in love with Cornwall :-)
Thank you for having us Ren!!

A stone's throw from Perranporth but with all the bliss of the countryside. Ren is a wonderful host, so friendly and gave many helpful tips for walks/places to eat/parking when visiting other areas. The bed was so comfortable. The space has so many special touches such as lanterns, fairy lights, areas to relax, an outdoor open fire, a woodland style kitchen, the resident ducks and chickens. The perfect place to reset. I can't wait to return.

We felt so welcome throughout our stay even our dogs loved Ren. Ren was really helpful and she really has thought about everything right down to the finer details like a padlock for the tent for when we went out for the day and a camp light and solar lights for night time. The kitchen and fire pit area were fab. The site looks so pretty on a night, even the toilet with pretty lights and disco ball. it’s an ideal location as close to the town and beach.
we really don’t have a bad word to say we can’t wait to come back
