Villa Cedrino Orosei

Based on the reviews, images and description we had high hopes for our stay here. We booked the property back in November 2021 and arrived in August 2022. At the time of booking I do not recall seeing any notification that linens were extra so it came as quite a surprise than a bed sheet, duvet cover, pillow case and towel for 5 guests would cost us 125 Euros in cash. We paid without complaining. I subsequently checked the booking terms and found a small reference saying that linen was extra but there was no indication of price. I would politely suggest host needs to make it clear that there will be a sizeable charge at check in because such a surprise, at the end of a long day travelling with children is not a pleasant one. Language barrier did not help matters, partly our fault due to not being able to speak Italian. On check in host simply asked for our passports and the linen fee. Then we did not see or hear from them again, not even an email to ask us how we were doing. A couple of minor suggestions for improvement: Some standard tourist info would be helpful - recommended local shops, closing times, restaurants, beaches, trips etc We arrived after 8pm and all shops were shut and we had no food or drink until the following morning. Host had kindly left us a cake as a welcome gift but it would have been better if we had some basics essentials in the kitchen, eg bottled water, milk, coffee, cooking oil, flour or such like. Based on our own experience, I feel the property has potential if it was managed better. Im sorry to say that I would not however choose to stay here again.
