Welcome to Salty Shack (A)! This 2BR/1BA unit sleeps 4 and is one of three in a triplex. It is continently located across the street from the beach and boasts a private entrance and deck within walking distance to the heart of Folly Beach. It features hardwood floors throughout and smart tv's in both bedrooms.

Folly Beach, or as locals refer to it, The Edge of America, is a laid-back, golf-cart-friendly community with many great restaurants, a booming nightlife, plenty of shopping, water activities, and water tours. For more historic exploring, the famous Downtown Charleston is only a 25 - minute car ride, which offers endless fine dining, shopping, historical sites, and more. There is something for everyone here. We promise you will Folly in love with this beautiful island!

We do not provide beach equipment, but anything available at the property is yours to use.
Check-in time: 4 pm. Check-out time: 10 am.
The Folly Beach noise ordinance is from 10 pm to 8 am.
Pets considered: All pets must be approved by our office before you arrive. Upon approval there is a $150 (plus tax) per pet nonrefundable pet fee that is due before you arrive. If not already on your reservation, it will be added. Once this is done and the fee paid, you will be all set to bring your pet with you (2 pet max, no more than 60 lbs. each, no puppies under 1 year old, no cats). Emotional support animals, comfort animals, and therapy dogs are not service animals under Title II and Title III of the ADA and are subject to approval and fees prior to arrival.
No smoking is allowed in or outside of the house.
House parties, weddings, functions, events, bands, DJs, etc., are prohibited.
The occupancy can be at most 4 people at any time during your stay.
We require 50% payment at the time of booking. The remaining 50% of your balance will be due 30 days before the check-in date, and we will run the card on file. Bookings within 30 days of your arrival date require full payment at the time of booking.

If the noise level exceeds the legal limit for FB, you will receive a friendly reminder text message to turn the noise down. This will help avoid any violations with the FB police that can result in fines and revoke the homeowners business license.

Suppose the occupancy is misrepresented or a disturbance is reported at the property. In that case, we reserve the right to terminate your rental agreement and will require that you vacate the property immediately without a refund. However, we are committed to your and our community's comfort, so please let us know if we can do anything during your stay to make it more enjoyable.

The good: Overall it was pretty clean other than some minor things like a few hairs in the bathroom, bathroom drawers especially and some crumbs in kitchen drawers. Across the street to the left is direct access to the beach, to the right it’s a short walk to the pier and the main road with restaurants and shops. Check in was easy and the emails/texts from My Ocean Rental were informative and easy to follow. It was also nice that they texted to let us know we could check in early. The floors, towels and bedding were nice and clean which were greatly appreciated. The not so good: You hear every noise from the units attached and located next and behind you. We were woken up at 1:30 am by a loud group of people staying in the unit up the stairs behind us and they partied outside until 3:30 am making it impossible to sleep. The bathroom floor is literally sinking in, most of the subflooring has seen better days and is sinking in spots which is concerning. The top deadbolt lock does not work on the front door. The only lock is the one built in with the keypad and it’s hard to tell if it is locked from the outside since you can open the door from the inside no matter which way the lock is turned on the inside. My daughter found a baby palmetto bug (American roach) in the bathroom the morning we were leaving and we found a spider running around the master bedroom that morning as well..probably coming out due to the extensive rain we had all weekend.
